Established in 2001 and inspired by a scene from the movie, The Blues Brothers, the Grassroots Comedy Tour has taken stand-up comedians Jer-Dog, Josh Alton, and Rob Rivera to some of the craziest small town bars across the Midwest. Every show is a one-of-kind event that begins the second these three crazy comics arrive at the venue. In 2004, a documentary film crew followed the Grassroots Comedy Tour for six months, capturing all the debauchery on over 100 hours of footage, eventually to become the underground hit, Road Dogs. Now, after over 1,000 performances, and with their road chops firmly established, Jer-Dog, Alton, and Rivera continue to mix it up with the local lunatics, delivering fast-paced, cutting-edge, high-energy stand-up comedy.
Congrats on your tour. I LOVE the idea of comics making their own man!!! That is the way to do it. If there is anything I can do let me know!!! You got a friend in the tour biz!
