About me: GrassRoots Illustrated IS HERE! Grass Roots Illustrated covers motocross and off-road news, riders and events from North Dakota and the surrounding region. We bring it to you as if it were a one-on-one conversation with a fellow moto-head.
The Reason...
The North Dakota area has some of the richest motocross & off-road history in America, and yet, there hasn't been a lasting publication to cover it's riders & events. Over the years, many people have said that someone should Cover the area's motocross activities. GrassRoots Illustrated was created to be that Someone... ENJOY!

The answer to the people who don't understand...
Motocross is not a thing that we do to be popular, make money, or get the girls, but it is something that we do for the love of being on a dirt bike.
Those who have never woke up at six in the morning to go get ready for practice just dont understand.
The countless hours all of us put in to this sport is not because we want to be famous, but because we love it.
You will never have a bigger addrenaline rush than lining up at the gate with 40 riders next to you, all wanting the same thing, to win.
We all know the risks we are about to take when we ride, but that's what makes the sport so great. If there wern't any risks involved, anyone could be a pro.
All of us know that we probably will never ever be as good as RC or James Stewart but we try any way.
It is not just catching a football or hitting a ball with a bat, it is way beyond that.
Every time we go down to the track it is like a family. Motocross is not just a sport, ITS A WAY OF LIFE.
Live to ride, ride to live tomorrow... and that is just how it is.

I'd liek to thank brandon from grass roots for taking the 4 horseman who were recently back in Minot on a sweet trail ride! Couldn't do it without Pure Honda of Minot loaning us some sweet scoots and also partaking in the ride!
Rain...rain...rain. That's what's going on down south. No worries, we need it. Riding should be good. Didn't want to hit you back up until I had a chance to really sit down and read some of your stuff. I'm impressed. Good work on the mag, seriously. I'll hit you up with an email tomorrow. Peace

I would like to say something about the NDMA season... I'm pissed I missed it! I would much rather dank with 375 riders rather than the 1100 I saw last time, bunch of stuck up biatchs down here in Utah... No soul riders like in North Dakota! Keep up the good work stankers!
With the NDMA summer racing season comming to a close significantly earlier than in years past, I can't help but wonder what everyone's thoughts are...
I think it turned out pretty well becasue the end of the summer always sees the rider count start to drop and it was very convienient to start classes this fall knowing that I wouldn't have to bust ass to get ready for the las few rounds of the series.
It's the Editor-in-Chief of GRI, Justin Fisk, here. I spent a ton of time revamping the GRIspace last night and I was hoping to open our space page into an ever-evolving moto-conversation.
Feel free to comment on others' thoughts on our space, but keep it clean. I'll start things off above...
Thanks visiting our space and hope to see and hear from you again soon.

Freakin sweet issue arrived this past weekend! In my half sleeping state after getting home from the Friday night MX series here in Salt Lake I thought I had just got a new boat magazine?! Huh? Yeah I was looking at the back of the Magazine and saw a boat, but after closer exam I found out I got another sexy issue of GR's mag! I'm sending a letter to the editor! Braap
