General
LISBON DECAY represents a core of dark alternative music lovers based in Lisbon, we are most of all a bunch of friends willing to promote interesting musical projects or other sort of instalations. LISBON DECAY stands also as a Community, we're interested in debating new concepts, listening to new sounds, being aware on other events on similar approaches as our own. THE GRAVEYARD SESSIONS are NOT over, we have changed our image and management as our 2 year long event will endure to present future chapters of dark alternative nightlife!
Our personal tastes might range into a lot more than than this but might give you an idea on what sort of things we're on.

Drop Dead Festival, the largest deathrock, gothic punk music festival in the world hits Lisbon, Portugal in 2008. Lisbon was chosen as the location for the festival in 2008 for its outstanding beauty, great music and art atmosphere, an ideal location connecting the West and Europe. The festival will take place over 5 days, through October 8-12 and will include the best new and the established acts of the gothic, batcave, deathrock, punk, wave, psychobilly, and horror related genres of music.

<< abertura is a one-day event which presents VJing and realtime audiovisual performances, presentations, discussions and workshops, by national and international artists. In its second edition, abertura2, the theme of which is "Communities, Collectives and Collaboration", in which theory can be developed in conjunction with technology (last year's "abertura 2007" theme), we will explore a variety of approaches people use to work together in the making of "live performance", and its related expression and dissemination. The event has a strong experimental component and this second edition brings to Portugal a large international palette of people and work.
