Ilaria Graziano is an Italian singer and songwriter. She gained worldwide popularity with some of the most renowned animation film soundtracks, arranged by famous Japanese composer Yoko Kanno.
She started playing violin and singing at a very young age. Incredibly talented, she is considered one of the most beautiful voice both of national and international scene and she also has a unique way of using it. As a songwriter who can compose both in Italian and English, she can be sweet and deep. In her most experimental projects she likes to use her voice as an instrument itself. It is then hard to believe that the sound you hear is coming from her. When performing, her voice is hypnotic. It can be ethereal and evocative, perfectly matching her petite body, without ever losing the grit of her temper. The richness and power of her voice is such that she can use it in many different kind of music: from folk to electronic, from popular jazz to the most experimental tracks. This is why, throughout her career she has had the chance to collaborate with many different artists. She has performed in Europe as well as in the United States, always accompanied by virtuous players both in duo and in more complex groups up to orchestras, with which she toured in the Usa. Every time, to be at one of her concerts has been and unforgettable experience.

ieri mi trovavo all'Angelo Mai per l'inaugurazione, mi è sembrato di averti riconosciuto al bar e difatti poco dopo ho potuto assistere alla tua esibizione con Francesco Forni. Non sapevo proprio che era previsto un tuo concerto, ero venuto solo per sentire Renato Ciunfrini e Mike Cooper. La tua performance è stata esplosiva, peccato sia durata così poco. Temevo che le casse saltassero, la tua voce era davvero prorompente. Speravo di sentire qualcosa di più sperimentale/improvvisato, ma anche il recupero in chiave moderna di questi canti folk è molto interessante. Spero di poter assistere al più presto ad un altro tuo concerto, magari un po' più lungo questa volta.
