Also, for those people who keep askin' me if I'm Japanese or Korean? the answer is no! If I'm half-American and Half-Thai? still nah ah. Actually I'm half-German, half- shepherd! haha. just a joke, but funny some would say "ah really, nice combination". arghh. i'd rather be a poodle though. hmmm. Anyways, the blood running through my veins: Filipino-Chinese-Spanish. yeah yeah. For some it might be weird but im into tha black-american thang, im diggin' their music, fashion and positive soul. I remember hatin' my fat big lips, they tell me its like for "nigga" but now im down with it, coz lotsa girls spend a fortune just to get phat big lips! time change. everything change. what's beautiful for now may not be tomorrow & viceversa.
I like the Filipinos/Spanish for their creativity, passion, and unending happy nature (rich or poor), the Caribbean peeps for bein so warm and friendly, the Chinese for bein so hardworking and businessminded, the Singaporeans for bein' so disciplined and not taking 'E' hehe. of course for their utmost desire to stay on top and earn money! money! money!, the indians just like the chinese they're all over the world for their business thing and spreading their culture, the Australians for bein so cool, fun-loving and open-minded that they can easily relate to western and eastern culture, the Europeans in general for bein so relaxed,calm, and their passion in enjoying a good life and not trying too hard, the Koreans for their determination to know english and cope up with modernism, the Japanese for bein the innovator and proving they can survive w/o english, the british for their commitment to quality education and share it to the world, and the Americans for all the surplus shops and fast food chains in Manila, not to forget NBA. hehe. Kiddin aside, its like they're telling us, Nothing is Impossible, which is also a good thing.
Since i get to travel to southeast asia, i also learned to appreciate Asian culture and religion. Its my first time to hear that some people dont even know what Catholic is! My God! When i was in Manila, its like we breathe and eat Catholicsm. And if u want to go to a good school, u must be catholic. i studied in a chinese school in kinder and went to a semi all girls catholic school (run by nuns) for pri/secondary and all the way to the university (run by priests). my mom said the Nuns in the Catholic school will only accept student if he/she has a baptismal certificate. thats one of the reason i was baptized, i think...
my point is, i think you can be successful whatever your religion is. here in singapore, there are lots of people w/o religion (free thinkers) but they can still go to any school they want. i remember in high school i was punished for bein late, so the teacher asked me to pray the holy rosary, while kneeling on the rough floor! but that dint teach me a lesson really haha. i used to memorize all the mysteries of the cross and can even pray the rosary in Spanish! Dios te salve maria, llena eres de gracia....
There's nothing wrong in praying, its just whatever's too much is not good right? Now, im old enough to choose whatever i want to believe in and im very happy for the freedom i have today! I love God, I love Buddha, I love the Earth, I love every creature in this world. So, Let's Party!!! Yeah Yeah!
