Hey folks! Doorman of the Great Lakes Avengers here. We're the Midwest's mightiest heroes! Well ... we're probably the Midwest's only heroes. Unless you count the Rangers, I suppose.
Anywho, we made our debut a few years back stopping some bank robbers. The world took notice of us when Hawkeye and Mockingbird tried to turn us into a class act. They tried for a while but, soon they went back to the West Coast branch of Avengers.
Things are mostly quiet in the Midwest but we've gone up against some biggies like Terminus and Dr. Tannenbaum's Giant Robot Snowman!
We changed our name, a while back, to the Lightning Rods to gain some popularity from the Thunderbolts. But, they turned out to be bad guys in disguise and we tried (unsuccessfully) to track them down for S.H.I.E.L.D.
Most recently, despite suffering some casualties, we even managed to save the world from Maelstrom's plan to implode the whole universe!
