Hakkımda: Great Meadows Morris and Sword is a group of high school-age students from the Greater Boston area who perform traditional English morris and rapper sword dances. Since 1999, we have danced at festivals and special events throughout Massachusetts and New England, including NEFFA and the annual Lilac Sunday event in Boston's Arnold Arboretum. Great Meadows also has performed on the international stage: We've competed in the Dance England Rapper Tournament and were invited to the 2004 World Sword Spectacular in Whitby, England.
Morris and sword dances have been performed in England for centuries, and are now popular in the US and many other parts of the world. People of all ages are drawn to morris for its liveliness, vigor and camaraderie. True to the spirit of morris, Great Meadows offers the experience of good dancing, good exercise and good company!

I was at one time quite a successful photographer, with work being shown on a national and international scale. Then I fell ill with a mobility related condition which utterly naffed my life up. Thanks to years of fighting back I have managed to regain the mobility which I lost, and through a process of ongoing pain management and medication have been able to start work again. As a result I have decided to re-enter the photographic world as career. I know this links to a competition, but the competition is being judged on the number of votes, and I have no chance of winning it at all. However, I am hoping that this image, from a series of images showing British pre-christian landscapes, will be of a quality to get my name into the NT sphere of consciouness. Becoming an NT photographer is almost impossible, but I believe I have something as a pagan to add, and I have always been a sucker for trying to achieve the impossible.

Poem 2 of 230, WalkaboutsVerse (please see my blog): WALKABOUT WITH MY PEN
Once drove an old sedan, up north, From a place in Sydney to Cairns; Then to Kuranda I went forth, By train, to look without set plans.
I browsed through the trendy market, With fresh fruits of tropical kind; Walked to the creek through lush thicket - Nature’s hand giving peace of mind.
I dined in a scenic cafe; Then, outside, as I wrote for yen, Some passing Kooris called-out: “Hey, You go walkabout with your pen.”
Request or question, I don’t know - Assured voices, elderly men. That’s now several years ago, And I’ve seen the world - with my pen.

230 of 230, walkaboutsverse.741.com: AS GOSPELLERS HAVE SAID/CHRISTMAS SUNG SIMPLY
As gospellers have said, Beneath signalling skies, On land dusty to tread, A trough in a stable Was the strawy first-bed Of a divine baby - The forgiving Godhead.
A season for new hope - There then and here now; The yuletide of goodwill - There then and here now.
In respect of this chance, Beneath bright or dark skies, Faith’s the star that we glance Attending Christ’s churches And trying to enhance, With singing and ritual, Our God-loving stance.
What a GREAT photo of you all that is! I feel very nostalgic for '04 (the Spec just seemed to flash by)! I actually meant the one on the workshop site showing - I think - Rhett holding up a lock. It's Baden-Wurtemburg's swords according to th etitle of the jpeg. I'll post it when I can work out how to include an image in a comment...!
Thanks for the add, guys.
