we have been working together as "great ocean" for six years. the band was formed in san luis obispo CA in 2000 and had a nice run of shows with the sea and cake, blackheart procession, little wings, scissors for lefty, 31 knots, canyon, the french kicks, york roberts ( graves ), opera cycle and a bunch of other great bands. we had a little publicity thanks to kcpr in 2001 and a compilation out of the east coast ("are friends electric") thanks to semi automatic. currently we are marinating in portland. we like translating feelings, thoughts and experience into sonic massage.
hey dudes thanks again so much for having come down and play, and giving us a place to stay, and hey! also oh man, portland we'll be living there soon, give us like a year. Things you missed out on: During the ride back, Sara sprayed Justin in the eyes and mouth with Pepper Spray while he was driving 90 mph on the highway, of course she didn't mean to, she thought it was perfume. anyway, i look forward to planning a tour! and thank you! MYCOOO!
zane stood on the horizon covered in ocean and firmament and the ether and silence and washing rags and pills and jawbones and collections and wish-stix and he looked upon the people and he motioned for us all to leap into the sea with him, the black sea before dawn by the light of a diseased moon among the ruins of the stratosphere.

zane stood on the horizon with a melting tire hanging from his one big-ass paw, a neon green CB Radio strapped onto his face, a basket of metallic flowers set before us all.
