About me:

I'm the author of the novels "Looking for Alaska" (which won the Printz Award in 2006), "An Abundance of Katherines" (which was a finalist for the LA Times Book Prize in 2007), and "Paper Towns" (which was a New York Times bestseller and won a 2009 Edgar Award).

I am also the co-creator, with my brother Hank, of the improbably popular videoblog-based celebration of intellectualism and Peeps known as Nerdfighteria.

Now, to the frequent questions:

1. Yes, this is my real myspace. (I am flattered by the idea that someone would go through the trouble of creating a fake myspace.)

2. I do not do a good job of responding to messages or friend requests. Sorry! I will try to get better, but myspace is kind of LOUD and BUSY and TERRIFYING and that is why I mostly use facebook.

Who I'd like to meet:

J. D. Salinger. But I tend to doubt he has a myspace.

I think u'll enjoy this one. It's pretty cool but also a little creepy too LOL. You'll need to follow these directions EXACTLY to get the proper results. Put the followwing into the address-bar of your web-browser. Type ur favorite number between 1 and 999 & then type a dot & then type your favorite color & then type a dot & then type one word that best describes your mood & then type a dot & then type the word retwistic & then type a dot & then type com & then click enter. Let me know how it turns out for you.

UPDATE: Hmmm . . . MySpace didn't like the tiny-URLs I was using in my previous comment. Here is my post again: this time using the full web address.

Hi John! Thank you so much for your recent blog post in support of Ohio libraries. If the proposed 50% cut in funding is allowed to pass, many libraries will be forced to close, while the others will have a severe reduction in hours and services. Only a public outcry can turn the tide. Contact your Ohio legislator today!
