Green Hit Records Inc. is an independent music label & recording studio owned by musicians for musicians.
We prefer to produce original and creative music, and that often means bands that are undiscovered... and therefore, POOR! So we have made significant efforts to keep our rates affordable without sacrificing quality.
To schedule time, please call the studio at (956)-928-1385. If you are coming from out of town, we can help you locate nearby and reasonably priced hotels.
We use high quality equipment & software including a Rain Element Workstation, Sonar 7 Producer, Presonus A/D converters, Audio Technica & Senheiser Mics.
In the end, it’s all about getting you to sound great. And we know you want to sound great or you wouldn't come here. The most critical ingredients to achieving a good sounding final product are 1) good performances, and 2) enough time to hone the mix and/or edit the performance as necessary. Our reasonable rates mean you can spend more time on your performances and mixes, giving you a better final product. Please read over “Work Methods and Band Preparation Guide” in our blog and don’t hesitate to ask any questions you might have.
RATES
Most studios charge atleast $40/hour, or they charge a daily or weekly block rate. Artists that record under these conditions will often find themselves busy watching the clock rather than focusing on completing their best work. As a result, they will burn through their production budget before completing the project and end up with a rushed or half completed project as a result. We believe the only thing you should concentrate on while working with us is your music. We don't charge for setup or tear down time.
To take advantage of our extremely low rates (CALL 956-227-8642 for a quote), we require a $50 deposit when we schedule the session (refundable if the group gives at least one week cancellation notice). The balance is due at the end of the actual session or at the end of the project if prior arrangements have been made in writing. We also assume that the artists are well rehearsed on all the songs, and that all solos, intros, and endings have been planned out beforehand. Our time is extremely valuable and the studio will not be used as a rehearsal. Extra time due to rehersals, remixes, recording or adding additional parts after the mix have been completed will be billed at our regular rate of $25 per hour.

The definition of extreme can be interpreted in many ways, VITAL REMAINS, however, takes its meaning to a whole new level, be it through using their instruments as weapons for mass annihilation or through unrelenting, blasphemous lyrics that display their hatred of religion and all that it stands for. Add death metal Legend Glen Benton (DEICIDE) to the mix, and you have all the elements of a Nuclear Warhead waiting to explode on the unsuspecting masses. Very few extreme metal bands are able to reinvent their musical styles, yet VITAL REMAINS are one of the few to stand the test of time. The group formed in 1989 in Providence, RI, and after recording two demos, they signed to Peaceville's subsidiary Deaf Records. They soon recorded the legendary cult albums Let Us Pray and Into Cold Darkness, but due to poor distribution and promotion from the label, the band asked to be let go from the contract. Two years later they signed a two album deal with French label Osmose Records and unleashed Forever Underground and Dawn of The Apocalypse. The dark lords revamped their line-up in 2001 with original member Tony Lazaro on guitars, Dave Suzuki on bass, drums and lead guitars and Glen Benton on vocals. They also signed a new deal with Olympic Recordings to unleash Dechristianize, an album that all other bands in the genre will soon strive to conquer. This 9-track epic, recorded at Morrissound Studios (Morbid Angel, Six Feet Under) combines melody with an evil atmosphere and a traditional metal feel, with no shortage of satanic verses. Lazaro put it best when he described the new album: "It's got the brutality, but also it's very dynamic and textured. " The world of extreme metal will soon be rejuvenated as VITAL REMAINS return to Dechristianize the weak and
