Green Mountain Cloggers Exhibition Dance Team's Networking
The Green Mountain Cloggers Exhibition Dance Team began in May of 1992. We are a non-profit organization of 40 active members and growing. We pride ourselves in giving BACK to Vermont and it's communities. Our organization is always accepting new members of all ages! "Our mission is to provide quality clogging instruction and enjoyable, wholesome, family-oriented entertainment; to promote self-esteem,build self-confidence and develop relationships. Our goal is to assist all dancers to be the best they can be."
We have performed at state fairs and small town festivals all over Vermont, and for private clubs such as Elks, VFW, American Legion, and Moose club, and for state grange's all over, as far south as Manchester, and as far north as Swanton! Our organization also competes in VT at various fundraising events to support programs for the needy.
Since this group began it has been directed by our lead chorepgrapher and instructor Hillary Barcomb, who at the time was 13 and was a second place winner in the national freestyle clogging championships in Durham N.C. She has danced with the "ADIDAC cloggers", "Northern Lights" and the well known competetion group, the "New England All Stars" who traveled the USA performing and competing.
She is now 30 years old, and continues to choreograph, instruct, and direct this organization. We also have a two co-instructors, and an Irish Step dance instructor. PLEASE VIEW OUR BLOG ENTRIES FOR ALOT MORE INFO!!
We are currently the ONLY clogging group in Vermont that offers a yearly clogging workshop where ANYONE who dances tap, clogging or Irish step dancing, swin or square dancing, AND line dancing can come to learn, and share ideas about any style of dance. We allow dancers to come and instruct their own choreographed routines, and keep a non-competetive flow all day, with learning together, meeting new friends, and a TON OF FUN! There are also evening demonstrations from all groups wanting to participate! It is a GREAT day in Vermont!
PLEASE join us for the 2009 " VERMONT WESTERN & FOLK WORKSHOP" http://www.greenmountaincloggersexhibitiondanceteam.com/vtwesternfolkworkshop.htm
We are ALWAYS looking for new members to join us ANYTIME of the year! Wether you are just starting out with interests in clogging & Irish step dancing, OR if you are expereinced and you want to further your knowledge, come and join us for a class!!! We have created this page so our members can come to a central spot to share ideas, chat, and to locate other CLOGGERS from all over the USA ! Please join us here!

I would love to be there with you girls but we're having another ladies night tonight and DD'n for the boys while they have Mess Night. Have FUN and can't wait to hear all about it!!!
I miss everybody too, but I probably won't be back anytime soon. Not because I don't want to, I just can't afford it. When is the mud season talent show?
Hey, girl! I miss you guys too! I'm excited to have my weekends back! I figured I would be coming back to the classes in Northfield- that's a good time for me and it's not as far as Randolph so Northfield is great! A DVD would be great- will I be completely overwhelmed by it though since I've been out of the loop for so long? As long as it doesn't stress me out...lol. Have a good Thanksgiving...looking forward to seeing you again!!
I love you! and I love GMCEDT! Through you and this group I have become a stronger person.....inside and out! Thank you for helping me out of my shell!
Hey, girl! I teach after school for an hour- jazz to 3rd- 6th graders, I start in November. Oh- and I tried to register on our website to set up a profile and such but I couldn't figure out how to do it? I signed in and stuff but after that I didn't know...lol
Hey! I miss seeing you guys too and clogging!! I heard that you guys moved to Northfield, sounds like that will really be for the better! Sundays are my only days off right now so we're usually busy, trying to pack in a days worth of stuff...LOL- but I will definitely be back, no worries! They just have me working the "crummy" shifts right now since I'm the newbie. Adam is going to be in RI this weekend and I work that evening so I will be missing all the fun. =( I wish it could have worked out differently- especially since there's awards involved...you know I love being the center of attention...hahah.
I've been meaning to tell you sorry for missing Monday night- I got a job at First In Fitness so things have been hectic. I'll be there Sunday though to help out Tira. Hope you have fun on your trip!!
Okay Jason, I am not sure about a middle name yet, we are trying to incorporate some family member, but most of their names have been taken by previous children.
