Il progetto GREEN PLASTIC (come molte altre tribute band) in questo
caso nasce da una passione per la band di Oxford; Cinque ragazzi romani
con un obiettivo comune: la riproduzione al massimo della fedeltà (con
mezzi opportuni) di quello che per anni (e ovviamente tutt’ora) è stato
il sound caratteristico dei Radiohead.
La formazione ha incominciato la propria attività nella seconda metà
del 2005 e, come tutti i progetti, ha subito degli intoppi durante il
proprio percorso, cambiando di continuo vari elementi ma mantenendo ben
saldo il terzetto chitarre: Emilio De Filippis (chitarra ritmica e
cori), Antonello Acanfora (chitarra solista e tastiere) e Andrea
Lillini (voce,chitarra ritmica e piano).
Il grande salto di qualità è stato possibile quando sono entrati a far
parte del gruppo Luciano Pecoraro (batterista) e Silvano Lama
(bassista), una sezione ritmica che riesce a dare quel groove radiohead come
poca gente sa fare, grazie alla loro passione per questo gruppo e
soprattutto la loro grande tecnica e conoscenza dello strumento.
La forza principale di questa band è proprio nell’alto livello della
strumentazione: chitarre, effetti pedale e varie apparecchiature di cui i
singoli elementi si servono per ricreare l’atmosfera del gruppo
originale in questione, al massimo delle proprie possibilità.
I Greenplastic che hanno sostenuto diverse serate in molti locali di
Roma e dintorni, cercano adesso altre esibizioni live (a 360 gradi, in
tutta Italia) in altri locali al di fuori del panorama romano.

The GREEN PLASTIC's project (like others cover-bands) was born by a deep & serious passion for the Oxford's band; Five roman guys with a common target: an high-fedelity reproduction (with the right instruments) of what has been for many years (and now,of course) the characteristic sound of Radiohead.
The band started its own activity during the second middle of the 2005 and, like many others new-born bands, it had some problems during the first months, changin' continually some members (we want to remember Simone Gerbasi,our first drummer, and Fulvio Calderone, the ex-bass player) but keepin' on the "guitars trio", the main core of the band: Emilio De Filippis (rhyth guitar, effects & Backing vocals), Antonello Acanfora (Lead guitar & Keyboards) and Andrea Lillini (Lead Voice, rhyth guitar and piano).
The great betterment has been possible when joined the band Luciano Pecoraro (drum) and Silvano Lama (Bass), a rhyth session able to give the "Radiohead groove" as nobody can do, thanks to their passion for the music of RH and, especially, their great & serious knowledge and technique of the instrument.
The main strength of this band is the great use and level of the gear: guitars, effects, synths, keyboards which the band use to reproduce faithfully the atmosphere of Radiohead.
The Green Plastic has performed live in Rome and surroundings.Now the band is lookin' out for other shows in Italy, and promise to be on tour early.
