Interests

  • General

One hour a week-how much of a difference can that make? Green Religion is a grassroots movement to bring to light environmental issues we face today. We are not affliliated with any form of religious worship, nor do we aim to replace, undermine or usurp any individual's deep rooted beliefs; rather, we encourage the participation in discussions and activities that can lead to a cleaner tomorrow. Also, by purchasing merchandise and apparel at www.cafepress.com/greennow you are helping us support non profit charities and environmental groups, as we send proceeds to these organisations fully supported through t-shirt sales.
  • Music

All good examples of all genres. While we cannot financially sponsor any band or artist (we send our proceeds to environmental groups, organizations, and charities)we would be most honored to have our merchandise used/distributed at gigs and concerts to promote awareness for climate change, a clean environment and organic living.
  • Books

Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintnence by Robert M. Pirsig, The Alchemist by Paulo Coehlo, The Grapes of Wrath by John Steinbeck, To Kill a Mockingbird by Harper Lee.
  • Heroes

Anyone who can take small steps to clean the environment.

About me:

Many people talk about steps to save the rainforests, but what about the forest in their own back yard? Green Religion Now is an online community dedicated to bettering the environment through Green and Organic movements that stress the importance of Individual Responsibility. One hour a week is all we ask. How much can you accomplish? Perhaps there's a soccer field nearby with trash on its grounds, or a park with litter outside of the refuse containers. Is there any clothing that you could donate yourself rather than throw away into a landfill? By participating in the Green Religion Now campaign, you can save that rainforest, and also the forests, rivers and lakes in your own back yard. Also, when you purchase apparel through our store --www.cafepress.com/greennow --we send proceeds to various environmental groups and organizations. So buy some cool clothing and feel good about it. www.greenreligionnow.com (currently under construction) is the place to get started

Who I'd like to meet:

Bill Maher, Michael Moore (again in Ben's case), President Obama, Bono, Ted Nugent, Al Gore and many other "famous" individuals. We also want to meet as many people as possible who share our ideals in making the environment of our planet a greener and cleaner place to be. Join our movement by going to our official site www.greenreligionnow.com There you can become a member, read environment related news stories, access a wealth of links to Green Organizations and jobs, and join in on our online forums.

What I have discovered within my chosen field of exploration is that
life's most hidden mysteries are only that because of all the avenues
    left untaken.

I have learned to choose the path less obvious first...and then walk
backwards. If I walk backwards long enough, I might meet up with modern
    science.

The answer to the world's greatest crisis lies within the realm of the
Arts. We can not look to Science for fulfillment, for they have been
taught what things are not, instead of imagining what they could be.

To see beyond the surface we must diligently seek His will. It's a
choice that we make. We can either follow each other in traffic, or we
can trail blaze into the unknown. Yes, there is a cliff ahead...yes the
    waters get deep...

We are taking the plunge in Truth for the sake of Knowledge. We have
learned that the safety in society leads to the slaughter. The road to
Peace is one that we must blaze, not one that we must only follow.

True wealth is to learn the Art of Giving. You be the treasure!

With sincere blessings from The Fossilfields...

Ran into this article on MSN.com  Doesn't have a lot of detailed info, but a good list of where major companies and corporations rank in terms of their commitment to the environment...

Am I missing the bumper stickers on the merchandise page?  I realize cars aren't exactly good for the environment ;)but I would totally tack one on my car...and I'd give one to my friend Scott so he can drive around with one on his 60 mpg Honda hybrid. I'm getting a bike next week, so I could put one on there when I ride it to school...
