"The floor that stands at the base of the small stage at the Oxford Tavern is almost empty. In three minutes time it will be filled with different types of people with a number of different musical tastes but one thing in common; respect for raw alternative rock that aims to push the boundaries and offer something innovative and exiting to the genre.
One of the most rewarding things an audience can experience in the midst of a live show is the feeling that they are witnessing a group of musicians on the trajectory into fame and success. This feeling is usually accompanied by the certainty that each band member holds the attributes essential to the development of a truly grounded outfit; confidence, vigour, and a strong personality that translates to the audience.
The Greenroom possess all these qualities, and it is this, coupled with an intriguing sense of charisma that penetrated every song played from their debut EP Dreamer, that makes them a truly individual collective. There is definitely an impression of commitment that each of them shows as they drive their way through the set, whether it be Alfi’s dexterity on lead guitar, Jaxons powerful vocals or the rhythm provided by Tyler and Jacob, which served as the skeletal base for each song.
The floor was inundated with a plethora of Greenroom fans, whose eagerness and energy spurred the boys on through each song, from the somewhat comic The Super Ego to the clear favourite among the audience 5 Objects.
If the amazing live show is anything to go by, this is a band that lovers of rock and indie will definitely want to keep an eye on. Watch this space…"
