STEVE (Lead Vocals, Guitars)
– Classic suburbanite from Apple Valley, Minnesota with a childhood dream of becoming a rock star, comic book artist, or movie director. After getting his bachelor’s degree in film he got a mad fever to rock instead, and formed this band, for which he uses all of his talents towards their ultimate goal of ‘cult status’.
ELI (Drums, Vocals) – Drumming since he could hold a spoon, Eli was a born musician. He passed his time in Minneapolis as a kid by playing with jazz and blues bands and graduated from McNally Smith music college with a degree in drum theory to hone his skills.
NICK (Lead Guitar) – Growing up on the iron range in Northern Minnesota can be a bore, but Nick decided to use that precious time to become proficient at the guitar; oddly enough he played bass for the first bands he was a part of. He moved to Minneapolis shortly after and received his bachelor’s degree in Physics with a minor in computer science, but only as a back up plan, because he could not refuse the ‘rock demon’ that has possessed him since childhood. Watch it emerge at live shows!
AaRON (Bass, Guitars, Vocals) – Child of a career musician, this kid grew up around celebrities and road life, bred to rock, and roam…and pick up the ladies. He’s the bad boy with +10 charisma, mad bass skills, and the drive to live, love and ROCK!
Johnny Cash, Counting Crows, Weezer, Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers, Bob Dylan, The Rolling Stones, Talking Heads, The Band, Mest, Thrice, Foo Fighters, The Beatles, and others...
Sounds Like
Pieces of REM, Weezer, Toadies, Punk, Rock, and every other influence mentioned above.
Simply put Green Sweater Society likes to rock, and they feel they've failed if they haven't got the crowd moving or wringing the sweat from their own shirts. They have one desire and that is to share their own breed of loud, fun, catchy, music with the people that want to hear it.
Green Sweater Society has pulled musical influences from every aspect of rock’s history, sometimes described as a mash of Weezer, REM, and Panic! At The Disco. Their refreshing rock music stands out with clear vocals and harmonies, soaring over powerful rhythms.
Green Sweater Society has been previously known around the twin cities as the tight folk rock trio, Running Down Renee, established back in 2004. With a drastic change to their lineup, and their music following suit, a new name with their first public release was more than appropriate.
Since that time Green Sweater Society has been energizing crowds underground all over the 5 state area. GSS will be recording their new album this Winter, and touring extensively in the coming years. Look for us now and say you knew us before everyone else did!

i believe i still have steve's number so i'll give you a call or a text next time we're looking for another band to complete a bill. downfall revolution was formerly known as bittersweet street and we played a few shows with you guys at the garage and at the beat last winter if you recall..
Hahaha, well I just figured they contacted you already. So I confirmed it by asking you in the last comment 8] And I found out we would have had to cancel anyways I guess cause Jack is going on tour with Quietdrive for a month doing backup vocals/guitar. But Plum Crazy said they still have like... a completely different side of the bar that we didn't even see that the owner still owns, and is working on getting it up and running, and said that they would be in touch as soon as they do so. We could do like... a grand opening show or something haha. You guys busy tomorrow night? We're headlinin at the 400 again and got a pretty good lineup in front of us. Last Place Hero, Outlet, The Atlas Disaster. If you arent busy come check it out and we'll party after! -Devin.
Nothing can be more Plum Crazy than the bar itself. Ever. Ps. you know they closed??? Talked to them the other day. And double U tee eff?? No fun for four months?? Why is this? Thats plum depressing.... -Devin.
