Mahogany with Diana Ross... "Do you know where you're going to, do you like the things that life is showing you, where are you going to, do you know? Do you get what you're hoping for when you look behind and there's no open door, what are you hoping for, do you know"

Mom and Dad for being there no matter what.
RIP Dad, miss you very much.
Boy George and Diana Ross for giving me the musical inspiration that has led me down this path with the Hotel. Had I loved sports, I might have made it a sports bar. Nah, I love music!! :) However, we'll always try to accomodate those who love sports too. We can all live together!!!
Thanks to everyone who has helped me during this restoration process. The list is endless.
And on a personal note, thanks to all my customers and friends who have supported the Hotel throughout the years. I appreciate each one of you, THANK YOU so much.

Who I'd like to meet: ...anyone who would like to stop in and see the Hotel and it's architectural beauty and all the changes it's been going through over the last several years. In the past, the Hotel has had an infamous reputation of being a little rundown and rough around the edges. Over the years, I've worked very hard to clean up that diamond and now, it's beginning to sparkle again. The architecture speaks for itself and I just ask that you to come in and have a drink and make up your own mind. Can you survive a drink in the Greenwich Hotel lounge? You be the judge!

Daniel Chase wrote this song with the Hotel in mind. He's extremely talented and I'm very honored the Hotel inspired him to write this song:

This is one of my new favorite artists. Her name is Amanda Palmer and she's a local girl from Boston. She's part of a band called the Dresden Dolls who I saw for the first time a couple years ago on the Cyndi Lauper True Colors Tour. I thought they were so unique, punk cabaret is how I would describe them. Even if you don't like 'punk' music per say, their music sort of trancends any particular genre. It's almost like performance art. Their lyrics are deep, the energy and intensity of the music in each song brings out the emotion in what the lyrics are saying. And if you see them live, they are amazing performers and know how to bring their music to life. The band consists of her on keyboards and Brian Viglione on drums. You'd think a lead guitar is necessary, Not. Bass, Not. I guess you really need to see them live to know what I'm talking about. When you do, let me know what you think. You won't be disappointed.
Amanda has a new solo CD out called "Who Killed Amanda Palmer" and I love it. One of my favorite songs is called "The Point of It All." She's had it on her myspace page (http://www.myspace.com/whokilledamandapalmer) way before the CD was released and I'm glad she has it on her new CD. Check out the video for it:
'...And you're learning that just cause they call themselves friends doesn't mean they'll call... They made the comment in jest but you've got the needle, I guess that's the point of it all'

Hey Joann....a couple of us Main Str. Merchants "survived having a drink in the Greenwich Hotel Lounge". Beautiful place and glad we stopped in. Thank you for the warm welcome and hope to be seeing you again soon!
A night of pandemonialism at the Hotel on a Saturday nite. The blisters on my fingers are healing, no thanks to Al Keith. The Joanne-Cam will surely be posted...details later. No dead skunks on Division St on the way home...just 2 EG police cruisers. Caught up with Juxo at Nickanees...he'll be headed down your way pretty soon. Hope the back is feeling better...I was due to work Gillette today on my day(s) off...but my right knee is not feeling up to par for 10-hour stand-up.
i love this place - next time i'm bringing som WD-40 so as to do a tune up and service on those classic breakfast counter swivlers round the bar... Maria - you ROCK! Al - thanks for letting me abuse your strat for a bit - only had my acoustic picks, glad i didn't fry your strangs!!!
