Sheila Cameron, small dogs, watching my baby girl look at everything in total amazement, good film, good music, good sound, close friends, honesty, rocking hard, keeping up on politics, technology, understanding, keeping it real.
Music
I listen to a variety of stuff. Everthing from the pop music of my childhood, to the punk rock that I play. Over the years, I've learned the being monolithic with musical interests is useless. The beauty of music is in diversity.
Movies
Blue Velvet - one of those movies I can see again & again; Braveheart - hell I'm part Scottish; Jesus Christ Superstar - 12 years of Catholic school, and it comes down to this i ;-) I gave up Catholicism for Lent!; The Decline of Western Civilization - This is the movie is great. Little did I know that I would know most of the people in it within a year of it's release; Napoleon Dynamite; Pecker; Videodrome; Pi; Alien; and a ton of others
Television
Star Trek, orginal series; Law & Order; Top Model; Front Line; Sopranos; Six Feet Under; The Wire; Extreme Makeover Home Addition; Conan O'Brien; CSI Miami - my friend Emily is in it;
Books
A Brief History of Time - Stephen Hawkings; Hitchhicker's Guide to the Galaxy; Lord of the Rings, and a ton of others...
Heroes
People who truly think for themselves, and not let others think for them (at least too much ;-) )
About me: I've been playing drums in various Los Angeles punk bands over the past 20+ years, a few of which were on the SST label (Swa, October Faction, &
Chemical People). Back in the 80's, I toured with a couple of those bands along with Black Flag, Husker Du, Minutemen, Meat Puppets, Saccharin Trust, and St. Vitus. In the late 90's, I did a small tour stint with the
Jeff Dahl Band. In 2003, I filled in on drums with
Cüddle for a West Coast tour with Nick Oliveri's
Mondo Generator.
I recently played drums in
Marc Spitz Freestyle &
Punk Rock Vatos. I've recently left the world of teching Hollywood post production editing systems for T.V. & Film and moved to Nevada City, CA to work for a great technology company in Grass Valley and raise my two daughters. I'm now jamming for fun and always looking for more people to jam with. I also own a small
sound company for doing live sound reinforcement for various events.
