"The Theddingworth Village Hall Session has a real homely feel to it. You can imagine an extended family gathered around to listen to the band. It's got a touch of the troubadour to it. It slides along a folk/americana and at times almost gospel feel. I hate to use comparators, but imagine an English Cowboy Junkies and you won't be far off the mark. You have to listen to it and whilst you're doing that, it'll hook you and reel you in. Sheer delight."(Fatea Records)
In November 2008 Gregg Cave had a new batch of songs that he had written whilst living in a shed.
The shed he was inhabiting was in the Leicestershire village "Theddingworth".
So together with some friends/musicians he booked Theddingworth village hall for the price of £10 and however much money they needed to put in the heaters.
In a day they played and recorded the songs that are now known as
"The Theddingworth Village Hall Session".
This mini album is now available in a limited edition capacity through Folkwit Records. To get your copy please go to
