Gregg Martinez..a native of south Louisiana, has been singing and recording for over 30 years. His style of music falls under the catagories of blues, soul, R&B, Gospel, but he describes it as "Bayou Blues & Creole Soul". He has performed throughout the U.S. and has toured South Africa, England, Wales, Taiwan, Malaysia, Indonesia, and Vietnam.
Gregg has released eight recordings, Wonders Never Cease-1991, Love Has A Voice-1993, They That Wait-1997, For The Ages-1999, All The Days-2001, Christmas-2002, Bring Down The Thunder-2004, and from 2006 on the Seaul Records label, Big Bad Daddy, featuring nine of his original songs. His music is played on radio stations in the U.S. and abroad.
Gregg has shared the stage with many notable mainstream and gospel artists including Stevie Wonder, Foreigner, BTO, Dobie Gray, Shirley Caesar, MercyMe, Percy Sledge, the Fabulous Thunderbirds, and Bobby "Blue" Bland. Gregg and his band, the Rolling Thunder, perform at selected venues and festivals, including the world-renowned New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Festival, and he can also be seen and heard as lead singer with the legendary Boogie Kings.
The Boogie Kings released a new album in 2007, their first of the century. It is called, "Never Go Away". The title song is a moving tribute to the legendary Boogie Kings, written and sung by Gregg. See www.boogiekings.com.
