Sounds Like
the alchemy created by a harmonic blend of light and dark ambient sound
Gregg Plummer's music crosses several genres, among them atmospheric, ambient soundscapes, eclectic experimental tracks, relaxation and easy listening offerings, and contemplative drones and space music.
In the mid 1990s, Gregg Plummer bought his first music computer and began creating musical soundscapes. Some of these early tracks have been showcased in performance art events and dance/poetry exhibitions. These early tracks provide the diverse mix of compositions that make up Journeys, Gregg Plummer's debut CD, which he recorded and self-produced in 2002.
Many Souls, Gregg's next CD (self released, 2003), had begun earlier as a set of "therapeutic" creations in response to 9/11. Excerpts from this CD have appeared in dance performances and provided the backdrop for powerful live spoken word performances.
Spending the next couple of years perfecting his style and technique, Gregg's efforts became much more focused on "ambient lullabyes". In February 2006, Gregg released his third CD, Mirrored Echoes.
Always a fan of drifting space music, Gregg created "Vast", a continuation of his sonic journeys, in 2007. The CD features a collaboration track titled "Blessing", featuring "The Tunnel Singer" (Lee Ellen Shoemaker).
Focusing inward, and on the premonition of a vision-like dream, Gregg Plummer has created a new CD, "Invisible Bird" which strives to describe the beauty and fragility of our fleeting time in this life. Never fear the light!
