I began playing drums when I was 12 and switched to mandolin when I was 15. My good friend Paul Hendrix showed me the basic chords on guitar and passed along a few basic theory skills so I could start learning to play songs from recordings. Played and sang cover songs for about 6 years and then was fortunate enough to get to study music in college. Over time I earned a Masters Degree in classical guitar performance from Oklahoma City University. I gig and teach guitar at a private studio in Norman Oklahoma with a group of incredible players who also play in the band.
