Patty Loveless, Wayne Kirkpatrick, Alison Krauss, I just really really love great music. Many of my influences are the friends I've made here in Nashville. I am blessed to get to be around very talented people like Kaci Bolls, Candy Cameron, Nicole Witt, Pam Rose, Minnie Murphy, Tim Johnson, Rory Feek, and so many other great artists and songwriters. Being around such amazing people is true inspiration for me to try to be more creative and improve what I do. I feel blessed to be here doing THIS!!!
Well how far back should I go??? It all started with a twinkle in my fathers eye.... Just kidding. I moved to Nashville while I was in high school. I had never even played a guitar. As I started thinking about what I wanted to do when I grow up I thought "Hey this is music city, why not be a songwriter". So after a million guitar lessons and graduating high school it was off to college to study music and audio production. I signed my first publishing deal while in college (for the second time... long story). Here it is many years later and I am still makin up words and music. I guess this is what I will do if I ever grow up. I've been lucky enough to get to go to Wal-Mart and pick a few of my songs up off the shelf. A few of the artists that have recorded my songs are Clay Walker, Tracy Lawrence, Lila McCann, Brian McComas, Dusty Drake, The Kinleys and a few others. I have made many really good friends that have been a support for me through good and tough times.
