Greg Merritt along with Alex Garay, Dave Migliore and Keith Giordano founded the 90s psychedelic band Amorphous. Dave and Alex went on to form Catbootz, and later the jam scene phenomenon Buzzuniverse. Greg Merritt went on to form the band Good Friend with drummer Dan DeRienzo and bassist Rob Smith. The first release was the 7" vinyl record Out There/River, which received airplay at over 70 college radio stations around the country in 1995. Building on this success, Good Friend's debut CD Best Friend released in 1999 received airplay on over 250 college stations reaching number one on over a dozen stations. Greg Merritt is currently forming a new jam band to follow up on the release of his CD Dream Through A Leaf last spring which debuted at 21 on the jambands.com radio chart.
