Greg has been a contributing member of the Winnipeg independent music scene since 1992. After humble beginnings in local hardcore outfit XchoplogicX, Greg turned to the ska idiom and hasn't looked back since. From 1993-2000, Greg fronted local ska outfit Whole Lotta Milka. During those seven years, Whole Lotta Milka released two full length albums (Got Milka? and Al's Diner) for Montreal based Stomp Records.
After Whole Lotta Milka's departure from the Canadian ska scene in 2000, Greg set out to establish The Wedgewoods, a band comprised of band members that had shared the stage many times with Whole Lotta Milka such as Cowboy X, Duckshot Hunter, Gardening with Alice, Pseudohoney, and Black Velvet and the Blue Beat. Today, in addition to teaching high school Music and History at Nelson McIntyre Collegiate, Greg currently performs, tours, and records with The Wedgewoods and the Greg Milka Crowe Band. He has toured and collaborated with such artists as The Planet Smashers, King Django, Chris Murray, King Kong Girio, and The Kingpins amongst others.

Brand new releases on the Version City and Freedom Sounds labels!
"Fortitude" is the latest boom shot roots reggae riddim rocking out of King Django's Version City Studio in New Brunswick, New Jersey, USA! It was written and recorded by Django as the first riddim for the Version City Rockers' "Darker Roots" sessions and features the original drums and bass team from Boston's Skavoovie and the Epitones-- Ben "Benny Beats" Herson and Rob Joost. The rest of the Version City Rockers crew on this release are King Django on piano and percussion, the Slackers' Vic Ruggiero on organ, Jamaican music legends Sugar Minott and Glen Brown on percussion and guitarists Brett Tubin and the late Shane Gooding.
A few months after the riddim was layed down, original Jamaican dancehall singer Johnny Osbourne came in to do a massive dubplate session and blessed Django's riddim with a killer vocal! Django carried the song down to Kingston, Jamaica in January of 2007. On the strength of this tune he was able to start Version City records with support and distribution from veteran reggae producer Bertram Brown, who has run his own Freedom Sounds label since the 1970
