When not working, Greg enjoys reading, yoga, hiking, mountain biking, watching movies, and traveling. Greg's favorite food is sushi. His least favorite food is Thai. And Greg's favorite comfort food is ice cream. Greg collected baseball cards as a kid. He also enjoys playing Blackjack. HIT ME! :) Greg was on the speech and debate team in high school. He can do an uncanny impersonation of Kermit the Frog.
Music
Greg's favorite musician is Billy Joel. "Vienna" is his favorite Billy Joel song. Greg has reported that he likes to listen to The Killers' album, Hot Fuss. Greg has said, "Great music to listen to when I'm running. There's this huge hill near my house at the end of my five-mile run, so I always play 'All These Things That I've Done, ' to help me up that hill." "Stevie Nicks is my favorite female vocalist. I just saw her Gold Dust Woman tour, and she was amazing. Her voice gives me goose bumps, and "Rhiannon" live was crazy good." Greg said that Fleetwood Mac's album, The Dance, is near the top of his favorites! Greg enjoys Michael Buble's self-titled album as well. "He's great. [He sings] classic songs that I know from growing up, and his voice is really mellow. It's good music to listen to before bed." "He's a poet. He just rocks." Greg reveals this about Tom Petty's Greatest Hits. Greg also enjoys the soundtrack from the film About a Boy. Music on the CD includes originals by Badly Drawn Boy. Greg explains, "I love the movie, and that's how I got into this band. Their other albums are also great. This is really good stuck-in-traffic music." Another of Greg's favorite bands is Death Cab for Cutie. Particularly the tunes from the Transatlanticism album. "I listen to Death Cab when I'm sad. This is a really somber album." Other favorites include U2, Billy Joel ("Vienna"), The Postal Service, and Scissor Sisters.

Greg's favorite actors are John C. Reilly and Ben Kingsley. His favorite actresses are Julianne Moore and Madeline Kahn. Greg Andrew Rikaart was born in Brooklyn, New York on February 26. It just so happens that his birthday falls under the Year of the Snake. Proud parents are Rick and Elaine Rikaart. Greg was raised on Staten Island. He has brown hair and green eyes. Not bad! :):) Greg has one older sister, Keri. He has two nephews. Greg is also the PROUD owner of a very cute dog, Fred, and two cats, Zoie and Garb.
Greg is quite an intelligent fellow. He graduated from Villanova University in Pennsylvania in 1999 -- WITH HONORS!!! GO GREG!!!! During his college tenure, he completed an internship on Capitol Hill. Did you know that Greg NEVER dreamed that he would be a successful, award-winning actor? Greg did not become interested in acting until he moved to Hollywood upon college graduation. He studied acting with the famed Howard Fine.
Greg worked with "One Life to Live" star, Jessica Morris, at California Pizza Kitchen, waiting tables, during his struggling actor days for three years. Greg found only small parts until he finally landed the role of David on Dawson's Creek. After having auditioned for ONLY 10 episodes of The Young & the Restless, he was pleasantly approached with a TV contract.
Who I'd like to meet: Greg is devoted to his fans. He LOVES to interact with the people that cheer him on during each and every episode. When in public, Greg is VERY personable and friendly. Greg is a HUGE Mets fan!!
