Books

This is my short fiction collection:

“The stories in Johnny Was are chock-full of hot, angry, passionate, messy sex. That’s how sex really is, though, and Wharton is honest enough not to pretty it up. Besides, the driving force here is the heart, not the libido. The key to Wharton’s writing is relating to emotions as the characters attempt to find love and warmth in an imperfect world.” —Instinct

These are my newest anthologies:

Co-edited with Ian Philips. Invert(e) #1 includes conversations between filmmakers, artists, authors, and activists; opinionated nonacademic essays; and assorted cutting-edge artwork, poetry, and memoir; all focused on popular culture, politics, and sex. April Anthony, Stephen Beachy, Dodie Bellamy, S. Bear Bergman, Tina D’Elia, David Ellingsen, Marcus Ewert, Richard Glatzer, Nicole J. Georges, Mary Guzman, Matty Lee, Ali Liebegott, Marshall Moore, Shailja Patel, Brian Pera, Kirk Read, Cristy C. Road, Michael V. Smith, Rob Stephenson, horehound stillpoint, Linda Switzer, Mattilda aka Matt Bernstein Sycamore, Wash Westmoreland, and Emanuel Xavier share their queerest thoughts and experiences—things that rarely make it into mainstream—even gay mainstream—media. Available in August 2008.

Co-edited with Ian Philips. It’s just what it sounds like. PORN! includes raunchy porn by Blake C. Aarens, Patrick Califia, Clint Catalyst, Justin Chin, M. Christian, Jaime Cortez, Wayne Courtois, Jameson Currier, Trebor Healey, Greg Herren, Jeff Mann, Mattilda, a.k.a. Matt Bernstein Sycamore, Sean Meriwether, Max Reynolds, Simon Sheppard, horehound stillpoint, Joel Tan, TruDeviant, Bob Vickery, and Paul J. Willis.

Co-edited with Sean Meriwether. Men of Mystery includes sexy tales of mystery and intrigue by Patrick Allen, Steve Berman, David-Matthew Barnes, Patrick Califia, M. Christian, Vincent Diamond, Fiona Glass, T. Hitman, Caitlín R. Kiernan, Trebor Healey, Jeff Mann, Max Reynolds, Thomas S. Roche, Simon Sheppard, Michael Stamp, and Mark Wildyr.

About me:

I'm the founder and publisher of Suspect Thoughts Press and its imprints She-Devil Press, Three Roads Press, Reverse Rapture Books, and Suspect Tots Books. Our website is here and our MySpace profile is here.

Apparently, Myspace considers my domain spam and won't allow you to link from here to there. If at any moment you'd like to visit my website please cut and paste "www.suspectthoughtspress.com" into your browser and fly away..."

“Alternaqueer lit publishing was drowning, with publishers either going under or going straight. And then Suspect Thoughts Press dove in, like a hunky savior in shiny swim trunks, and wrestled underground queer lit to shore, before administering the sloppy wet kiss of life. In the past few years, Suspect Thoughts has gone from an obscure webzine to a publishing powerhouse. More than anything Suspect Thoughts has put playfulness and risk-taking back into queer publishing.” —other

I run (and post on) a new blog called Invert(e). Invert(e) is an ever shifting multi-contributor blog with original personal posts and fed news content. Subject matter is as varied as class, race, sex, age, gender, identity, body image, violence, drugs, health, disability, lit, movies, TV, food, travel, music, love, beauty, death, art, politics, spirituality, current events, pop culture, and gossip, told from queer (and not) viewpoints. Sometimes all at once. You know, the whole enchilada. Mmm…enchiladas…

I'm the author of the short fiction collection, Johnny Was & Other Tall Tales.

“Hopeless romantics and hardened perverts, beware. Greg Wharton’s spare but lyrical accounts of love gone—where else but wrong?—will wring your heart dry. His characters yearn and fuck and fuck up among the ruins that Eros has made of Everyman’s suburbs, schools, parks, highways, and motels. Reading these stories, you may forget what the difference is between laughter and tears; arousal and regret.” —Patrick Califia

Thanks for the add. I'm a new Harper Perennial author, reaching out to some of Harper Perennial’s book-loving friends.

BEING WRITTEN is my first novel, and it will be released on September 9. It’s the story of a man who knows he’s a minor character in a book and the lengths to which he’ll go to win a bigger part.

You can find out more about the novel in this one-minute video, on my MySpace profile, and at www. williamconescu. com. Thanks again!

I Curse Death

Jun 29 2008 8:23 PM

If Adam had never sinned in the Garden of Eden, would he still have died? If death came by sin and Jesus Christ defeated sin on the cross, what happened to death? In I Curse Death, author Donnell Duncan boldly answers these questions and many more. The message is simple: man was designed by God to be immortal and only lost that gift by falling into sin. Duncan demonstrates with scripture that the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ restored this gift to all those who believe..
