BIO
Born in 1971 in Warsaw, Poland, Greg Zlap (Greg Szlapczynski) moves to Paris in the late eighties bringing a small Blues Harp in his pocket. After Computer Science studies Greg switches to harmonicist's career. Constantly perfecting new techniques and innovating to highlight his art, he becomes a highly respected studio musician as well as composer and leader.
Greg Zlap records for or plays with the cream of french pop artists (CHARLES AZNAVOUR, JONNY HALLYDAY, FRANCIS CABREL) and film music writers (VLADIMIR COSMA). He colaborates with french blues and jazz artists (JJ MILTEAU, BILL DERAIME, JM ECAY) as well as with the underground Slam and Spoken Word movement (SPOKE ORCHESTRA, D' DE KABAL, EVA DT).
With his elegant and lyrical work on the diatonic, Greg Zlap proves that a new generation of harmonicists is on the rise! He runs projects on the borderline of blues and jazz, with acoustic or electro influenced sound. As a leader, he succesfully releases four albums.
