Friends and family. Mark Adam, Steve Reich, Glenn Kotche, Wilco, Stewart Copeland, The Police, Ryan Lamey, Peter Gabriel, Jeff Buckley, Leigh Howard-Stevens, Elvin Jones, J. Coltrane, Matt Johnson, Joe Strummer, Evelyn Glennie, Stephin Merrit... this is kind of pointless because anything I like and dislike in life will "influence" me... spilling coffee on my crotch will influence my song writing/ playing/ attitude/ and style.

"Man, this guy can write addictive songs. I find myself on first listen saying "it's good, I like it". Then I notice I'm coming back to hear it again. And again. Pretty soon I really can't get enough. I love music that sneaks up on me like that". -Brad Stevenson

I just listened to your marimba song, and it sounds excellent. I especially like the last movement. Very cool chords and nice syncopation. Can't wait to hear it in its entirety!
