So what do you think? What Cover Song Should we do?
The band is in the studio right now working on 14 new songs for our upcoming CD "Ritual". There has been some discussion about possibly including a cover song on the disc, and while we've got a few ideas ourselves we thought that it would be cool to see what you guys think. We've always included a cover in our shows and as you know we did "White Wedding" on our first CD...
Previously we did "White Wedding"
SO Basically we are open to just about anything, but here are some general guidelines...
· Genre doesn't matter, though we are looking for something that can be rocked up.
· The song probably doesn't need to be something that has already been done by a female artist. (The whole point is to change it up, right?)
· We'd prefer it be an older song.
· A well known song is better than obscure (so we are looking ideally for something that's already been a hit on radio once ;)
· Lyrical content needs to be CLEAN, --- so that means we're not going to rock out to the "lemon song" by Zep (though we've played Rock-n-Roll before) So kinda keep that in mind too ;)
· No instrumentals
She will receive an autographed copy of our "In The Mean Time CD" as well as any tshirt of her choice from our online store. We will be doing another giveaway soon so please make shure that you are subscribe to our blog

I've always wanted to hear someone cover "Backwater" by "The Meatpuppets"! It would definately be interesting to hear with female vocals!
Ok, I know this is getting quite late and this might be a stretch, but I've always wanted to hear the talent of a rock group try "fighter" by Christina Agulara. As far as being a Christian band goes, the lyrics could easily be understood as how Satan's temptations have made us stronger.
I don't know if this thread is dead or not, but I would love to hear you perform Alice Cooper's "Brutal Planet". I'm a huge AC fan and that is one of my faves of the newer stuff he has released.
Steve
I read this a while back, but didn't think of anything. I see that you picked one. Which Alice Cooper song will it be?
Just for the record, I finally thought of one for ya...
Scandal-"The Warrior"
Hey,
What Kiss song did you guys play a few years ago? I think it was Tears Are Falling, but not 100% sure. By the way, I saw you at Plan B in Danville, VA.
See Ya,
Dennis
I think a great song for you to cover would be Dio's "The Last In Line." The sound is right up your alley. And I think you voice would totally complement the song. Good luck in choosing.
GOD BLESS
Frank
i think some good ideas would include: boy racer by morrissey: i started something i couldn't finish, girlfriend in a coma, or unhappy birthday by the smiths: anything at all by tori amos: anything by the sex pistols: talking bout my generation by the who: or even gloria by patti smith. i don't know... i could go on forever with suggestions. i love what you did with white wedding and know you'll do an awesome job on whatever you choose to do.

rock n roll aint noise pollution by AC/DC
I missed this contest, entirely. I had a song in mind that would've been perfect. Oh well. Live and learn, huh?
How about these few..
Send me an Angel - Real Life.
Somebody to Love - Queen.
Heart of Glass - Blondie.
Bat out of hell - Meat loaf.
and for a challenge...Paper Lace - The night Chicago died.
These are the songs I believe that Mia's voice would really sound great on.
Justin.
