Influences
Roots Funk & Blues: Emmett North Jnr - My Main Man guitar teacher from Dayton, Ohio.. I met this brother when he was hot off a world tour with Barry White and appearing on Top of The Pops with a chart act. Virtually all the chords, shapes, voicings, vamps and riffs I use in all my playing, I got from Emmett North Jnr. He gave me the inside out on the sweetest jazz, funk and grooves this side of George Benson and Earl Klugh. This guy showed me how to play cool, feel cool and look cool all at the same time. The brother was born doing it effortlessly and he still does to this day. Me? I had to practise real hard. You cats hear me whacking those Funk chops out, dancing through the 4 string voicings and sneaking a lil' blues in - and wonder why I'm the only guy in town who can do that shit? I'll tell you. My Main Man guitar teacher was Emmett North Jnr - that's why. Check him out.

www.outlookfestival.com
The festival site is in the gorgeous surroundings of Petrcane, close to Zadar, A fishing village on a peninsular where the Dalmation Coast meets The Adriatic Sea. For those in the know it will be recognised as the same sight that the Garden Festival is held. It has an outside Amphitheatre for live acts, a Beach Side Terrace for day & night time dancing and a 1000 capacity nightclub for the beats to go on right through the night. At this beautiful site you can swim in the glistening Adriatic, dance on the beach under the stars, join us aboard the swashbuckling Argonaut Boat Party, get your groove on to a Funktion 1 Soundsystem in a retro Studio 54 styled nightclub or relax beneath the pines along the forested coastline.
LINEUP:
If the setting didn’t sell this festival enough then the line-up they have put together certainly should, with a who’s who of dubstep, some of the best up and coming artists as well as some of the scenes biggest players. Hiphop, Dubstep and Reggae are all well represented as well as a good covering of worldwide beats and dancefloor soul music. Check out some of the names already confirmed -
Hello! my brother GC,what's happening with you? Things are pretty rough here not working, getting food stamps etc. trying to survive.I haven't heard from you in awhile and thought about you.I should be doing a gig soon hopefully, stay in touch,Emmett.
Hi Grey, You could not have had a better guitar teacher than Emmett. Actually I just spoke to him over the phone a few minutes ago! I hope he will soon be back in Europe! I am thinking of starting the Emmett North Jr. Network to support Emmett and his music and having as a goal to get him back to Europe and find lots of Gigs! We can't let such a talent just sit in L.A. without work! Cheers from Sweden! Pär
