Boys born into the dirty and cold steel of the Mahoning Valley. Ever searching for the flat 3rd to blend their surroundings into their mindsets-thus was forged Greydealer.
Enter two men, late summer of 2005, tired of the tried and true sounds that their peer groups had already established. In a haze of smoke and morning coffee a sound had been created in a basement dwelling. Tim Harrigan raised and lowered the hammer in time to the textured and evolving six strings of Jim Putnam all the while focusing on the next step of the musical process. The duo only needed the foundation filled and cemented by a low register comrade, and after two spots were filled and vacated-Pat Lane put his hands and feet into the fire to help craft his own vision of the muso at hand. The trio played shows at various venues to showcase the musical talent of the band with Tim handling vocal duties. In February of 2007 the decision was given to hand Tim a break as vocal stylist and bring another face to the stage in the ever evolving Greydealer line-up. Enter Chuck Shaffer who brought his gameface, stage presence and earthshattering pipes out to the Greydealer arena to add that special pinch of magic that is the band. With a live show that has been described as "a special and enchanting evening full of energy and sound" with the stage spirit to match the forges of Greydealer are burning brighter than ever. It is now time for the Mahoning Valley, nay, the world to step up and take notice of this one of a kind sound.
