  • Bio

Hailing from the wild west coast of Canada, Greylevel has managed to bring together many influences and genres of music to truly create their own unique sound. Initially the one-man project of Derek Barber, it first evolved into an actual band with the addition of two other members, Richard Shukin and Esther Barber. The three of them put together the first Greylevel album in 2006 which garnered the attention of ProgRock Records who ended up signing the band and releasing "Opus One" in early 2007. Since then Greylevel has continued to evolve with the addition of Tyler Friesen on Drums and Davis Friesen on Bass and since then they have been working hard on their followup album. "Hypostatic Union" was the result of their efforts and was released in March 2010 through ProgRock Records to great critical acclaim. Ultimately, the aim of Greylevel is to create music that communicates emotion and conveys experience that mere words could never do, and it is towards that goal that Greylevel will continually strive.

Artep will have professionals filming and recording their show to be released on a DVD together with their new music video. It will be called 'Thy Will Be Done In Vancouver As Is Done In Hell'. This DVD will get world wide distribution. Lets show the world what Vancouver is about and that Vancouver DOES have metal fans and IS worth touring through. This will be happening at the Rickshaw Theater on January 23rd after the movie premiere 'Until the Light Takes Us'. The movie will start at 8:30, we will be on immediately after and Tyrants Blood is headlining. The Rickshaw Theater is located at 254 East Hastings in Vancouver.
