Sounds Like
Metal Hammer:
”A nutritious cocktail of gloomy Goth’n’Roll, crunchy Alternative-Sounds and bone-dry Stoner Rock. Tastes bad? No way! Already enjoying little Hits like the furious opening strike „Nightmare“, the semi-ballad „Two Coins“ or the groove-monster „Nonetheless“ just once, should teach many pessimists otherwise.”
Coupé:
“The fat guitar riffs are hot, and thanks to the energetic drumming, there are many cool breaks. It animates you to jump around!”
Stardust:
“The Swiss guys from Grey Monday conjure a grown-up mixture of Rock and Melody, which one is more used to hear from combos like Nickelback in such a quality.”
Opinionhated.wordpress.com:
“The charisma that this young band possesses pulls you in enough that you simply lose yourself amongst their powerfully charged performance. (…) This is what Nickelback wishes they could even try to achieve. (…) Truly, fans of this genre should rejoice that they have new champions to hold up as representatives for their pent up and held back aggression.”
Bizarre-Radio.de:
“Rough and heavy Rock Music paired with modern elements, an extraordinarily sexy-smoky voice and emotional melodies, without sounding copied in any way.”
Rockingboy.de:
”Modern Rock at its best!”
Myrevelations.de:
“Their very own mix of Alternative and modern Grunge with hidden Trash-influences was always been taken on greatly…”
Trespass.ch:
„Sharp lyrics, sharp arrangements and some extremely sharp guitar riffs!”

Why Grey Monday? As easy as that: This bands got a recipe against grey Mondays and the stress of everyday life: Rockin the pain away! Grey Monday consists of four young musicians - they're all between 20 and 23 years old, which many people cannot believe as they hear their sound.
In September 2004, the project began to get intense as they made a Demo record at Power Ride studios, helped by Tom Blunier (Lead guitarist of the well-known Swiss Hardrock Band Shakra). Although they used only two days for the recording process, the 3-track CD got great reviews from musicians, promoters and fans. Thanks to this, they managed to get one gig per month in 2005, including some club gigs, but also bigger stages, such as: at the Swiss Hardrock Festival in Z7, Pratteln, or Hutturock to name the Highlights (about 600 people at each of the two). Grey Monday have always managed to get a great grip to the public and show a very intense rock concert at these events. Also, the Demo has been played at two swiss Radio stations multiple times, and the band has been reviewed on several internet sites and a magazine.
2006 has started well with some more great gigs and songwriting! In October, the band recorded a new Studio CD! There were be some bigger venue gigs towards the end of the year, for example the gig with our friends Pure Inc and Felskinn, and one with Primal Fear and Crystal Ball!
In 2007, Grey Monday did 15 great live shows, for example in legendary clubs like Muehle Hunziken, Rock City Uster and Gaskessel Berne! Also, the Band played at some Openairs and their first gig outside of Switzerland, in Lahr, Germany.
The year 2008 has started out with some more great concerts, a highlight among them was the gig at famed “Alpenrockhouse” (at Zurich Airport), and there are a lot more to come in Summer: Burnoutfestival Rünenberg (canton Basel), Back to Rock Reiden (canton Lucerne, in 2007 with “Die Apokalyptischen Reiter” and Sodom) as well as the popular Bikeweekend Studen (canton Berne, in 2007 with Shakra).
Last but not least, after an intensive preparation, the album “XIII sharp” was produced at Little Creek Studio with V.O. and Franky from the Swiss Metalband GurD: You’ll hear on it no less than 13 songs with a total playing time of almost an hour. By NonStopMusic Records (CH) and Twilight Distribution (DE), the Album will be released on April 25th, 2008 in Switzerland, and on May 3rd worldwide!
