I'd like to think I sound a little like some of my influences, but please check out the mp3 samples and be the judge of that!
I've been a producer and DJ for over 10 years with releases as one
half of Flytrapp Productions and Beam Strategic on the mighty Limbo Records
and ground-breaking Quad Communications (RIP). More recent productions
and remixes have appeared on Composure Records – a label I'm also the
creative director for, developing cover designs and maintaining their
website when I get a spare minute... (www.composurerecords.co.uk).
I'm a bit of a music junkie. I spent my teenage years playing guitar in
a number of ‘unique’ sounding rock bands playing numerous gigs for charity.
They all walked the walk, talked the talk (and drank the drink...)
Frustrated with the limitations of playing in a standard four piece band
I started to remix some of our demo tapes on a four-track recorder and
my brother’s Amiga 500. The band couldn’t see what was wrong with the tracks
in the first place – I could, and subsequently went my own way...
So, armed with a four-track recorder, an Amiga 500, a guitar, a digital
delay sampling footpedal and a rather large guitar amp I set out to change
electronic dance music forever...
