Grief Society are a UK based rock band fusing elements of powerpop, grunge funk and EMO, often all at the same. We'll sometimes make you sing along, sometimes make you think and always make you shake your booty.
The band's 'Universal Misunderstanding' album was released in the US in August 2002 and was followed by a short tour and then a long holiday. In 2005 the 'Time Travel' EP was released worldwide on Gentlemen In Exile Records and since then we've been working on a new album.
We stepped out of the studio to play some shows in December 2005 and have carried on gigging into 2006 while putting the finishing touches to a new album. (We only let you hear it when it's ready).
The band will be playing around the UK during August, September and October 2006.
You can buy the Time Travel EP at CD Baby - www.cdbaby.com/grief3 or at fab UK retailer iMusicStage - www.iMusicStage.com
We play what we like and hope you like it too.

This weeks amazing Bedford Metal gig featuring the much anticipated ‘SCAR MY EYES’, with the return from Cambridge of THE PERFECT CRIME who you only have to listen to their myspace tracks to judge the quality of their punk/metal sound, also on the bill OLLY AND THE WALLIES, bringing a recent return after such a successful show last time with us and look to be taking Milton Keynes where they are now also popular by storm. Opening will be SHOWING TONIGHT – a kind of young Enter Shikari fused with a rock/indie edge who were granted headline status at a recent lev 2 Thursday showcase gig of Bedford bands. As it seems enthusiasm and interest has been high for this, we have decided to open the ‘BEDFORD CIVIC THEATRE’ – Horn Lane Bedford. (behind the Harpur Centre opposite Argos near St. Pauls square) instead of The Ath.
