Sounds Like
Roots rock....Rob Thomas, Springsteen, Seger, Kid Rock, Goo Goo Dolls, Counting Crows, O.A.R....that kind of thing.
I started playing guitar and performing at age 13. My first band was called "Neon Knights" (named after a Black Sabbath song). We played at my 8th grade banquet. I wore black parachute pants, Iron Maiden T-shirts and mirrored sunglasses ala Panch from "Chips". I sported an impressive mullet and weighed around 90 lbs in my red, white and black Air Jordan high top Nikes.
At age 18, me and a few friends founded a band called "Lickety Split". By this time it was Ocean Pacific, Z. Cavaricci & Guess jeans (timeless fashion, no doubt!). We got pretty decent and even signed a record deal with an indie label in Minneapolis called Metro Records. It was a great deal....we pretty much paid for everything and they took our money. We were young and naive. We kind of sounded like "Hootie & the Blowfish" before there was a "Hootie & the Blowfish". The album was called "Lucky". If anyone can locate a copy of this disc online, I'll kiss em on the mouth (male or female).
Age 24, I joined a band called "Hit & Run" and met my current "3% Famous" bandmate and good friend, Scott Hauswirth. Several months later, we changed our name to "Average Sun". We did some damage throughout Minnesota and beyond and released a debut CD through Fraternity Records, an indie label from Cincinnati, and even received some national radio play...cool beans man.
Later, I moved back to upper Michigan and eventually co-founded the rock/punk/pop/drunk band "n od". This would ultimately bring me together with current "3%" drummer and fellow Steeler fan for life, Chris White. (That's another story for another ultra long biography or something.) We drank a lot of shows together.
Somewhere in between another stint with "Average Sun" and again with "n od", apparently I recorded a solo CD. You can buy it online at CDbaby.com or download the songs here on MySpace or at "i tunes" (Or wherever it is you kids download songs) and help me pay for my new furnace and roof. It's called "Turn the Light On" by me, Griffin Vittone...buy it...buy it.
Currently, I'm playing acoustic solo shows throughout the Upper Midwest and gigging with two different bands..."Griffin Vittone & the Lead Street Mob" & "3% Famous" and I'm having a blast doing it! If you come to anyone of my/our shows and only have half as much fun as we're having on stage, you'll still have one of the best times you've had in a long while, guaranteed!

Thanks for the add Griff! It has been many years since friends & I have seen you play. Not since the Average Sun & Nod days. Looking forward to seeing 3% Famous at Mr. D's this weekend! Have a great week!
When I saw the score, I was sorry I didn't watch it. Looked like it was pretty close. Course then I probably would have been sick to my stomach watching. I hate those kind of games. But the end was great, so it made it all worth it for you, I am sure! :)
