The name GRIGORI relates to a race of fallen angels (mentioned throughout celestial history) that were sent to merely WATCH over mankind, however through their own selfishness and individual needs-ended up corrupting it.3-THE NUMBER OF COMPLETION
The concept of live and let live died a long time ago for the Chicago based Goth Metal Industrial artists GRIGORI 3, who have showed absolutely no mercy since their emergence in the Chicago scene in 2003. "G3" has been enchanting audiences (including at the famed Chicago hotspots-Double Door, Elbo Room, Oasis 160, Mc Cools)with some of the most powerful mind crunching music in the country. The band credits its strength to its ability to blend the diverse influences each member brings to their sound. Where other groups simply write songs, GRIGORI 3 composes and then delivers intensely energetic riffs and melodies, encapsulated in a captivating show often described as "amazing".
Although the band only recently released their debut album "Exile." GRIGORI 3 credits it's young success to it's inclusion on Gothicradio.com's compilation release- "The Best Of GothicRadio,Vol.1" ( early into the band's career. The disc vaulted them into retailers ( including Hot Topics, FYE and Tower Records)around the nation and open doors to reviews as well as features in numerous publications.
The Chicago based band has been working their way up to the top of the Gothic, Industrial Underground Metal Scene.The band's ability to cross genres has enabled GRIGORI 3 to perform with numerous national acts.Their music has been featured at various clubs and festivals throughout the Midwest including: House d of Blues (Chicago) and the famed Emerson Theatre (Indianapolis)as well as GothicFest. Mobfest and MMS .The four piece band has proved their LIVE strength time and again performing live with various national acts including; Slick Idiot , Project 44, Dry Kill Logic, MushroomHead, Sonata Arctica, Hanzel Und Gretyl , Bile, Crossbreed and Index Case.
GRIGORI 3 's slogan "you WILL listen…"has begun to grab industry ears as well due to it's online presence which continues to grow due to numerous online streaming sites such as jamwave, I Channel, You tube and myspace.com. Internet radio and club play lists nationwide have continued to embrace the band's music and add GRIGORI 3 into regular rotation. Since GRIGORI 3 joined forces with the Planetary Group a vast number of radio /internet stations world wide have begun including GRIGORI 3 music including Q101, Panama's Siete Gatos, Japan's JP Goth and Germany's Black Channel.
GRIGORI 3 independently released their debut album "EXILE " which has helped the band gain selective national press throughout the music scene including ,METAL HAMMER, Gothic Beauty,Echo Immortalis, Virus, Lollipop, Dark Realms,MK and Outburn magazines. The album included artwork by the upcoming French artist " Alexandra Von Bach."
