Grim Cafe is an exclusive underground record label conceptualized in 2006. Though the initial inception tethered a preference to black metal, its collective repertoire shall encompass nary trace of aural inhibition; musical denominations abound, the label is determined to expand and evolve current perceptions of what is proper and acceptable in the dubious regime that is the music industry.
Therefore, the gamut of genres shall be ratified and extrapolated for future manifestation. In other words, Grim Cafe is open to all kinds of music. It's not so much what style or scene sound waves transmit through as an emotion, an aura, a conviction that is embodied via aesthetics, timbre, and attitude, as well as an array of auxiliary methods of expression.
The following is an ephemeral lexicon of a few styles of music the label embraces whole-heartedly:
Black metal, folk, ambient, industrial, darkwave, electronica, progressive rock, doom metal, experimental, post-rock, hardcore, symphonic metal and any otherwise avant-garde leanings.
Keep in mind that Grim Cafe is a highly selective entity; chances are, out of all of the aforementioned genres, only a few bands will fit the abstruse criteria set forth in certitude.
