GRIMELOCK have been steadily building a name for them throughout Europe as Belgium’s finest bass music export.
Coming from the early Belgian jungle scene, Wallace and Kalib created Grimelock in 2004. MC's Maëlan and Dynamic joined the crew shortly after to fill the shows with their energy.
GRIMELOCK brings on stage a unique, explosive and fast-paced combination of dubstep, garage, electro and hip hop in which are blended own productions, exclusive dubplates and timeless classics. Add to this the raw live energy of the MC’s and don’t be surprised if you find yourself bouncing, sweating and screaming for more.
In 2008 they set up Stainage Records, a label aiming to promote Belgian productions worldwide. They were also responsible for the infamous Stainage parties that brought all the biggest dubstep names in Brussels ages before the hype.

Kristian Fumei -As they worked, Case gradually became aware of the music that pulsed constantly through the cluster. It was called dub, a sensuous mosaic cooked from vast libraries of digitalized pop; it was worship, Molly said, and a sense of community.- William Gibson - Neuromancer -State of Bass is a project created in 2008 by Kristian Fumei a.k.a. Dubmaster K, former Drum n' Bass producer and Alessia Vardanega a young and talented fashion designer wich is taking care of the visual aspect of the whole project. The idea of giving birth to the State of Bass project came from the novel "Neuromancer" by William Gibson, expecially by the part that is describing the Dub music pulsing through Zion. We see in this type of Dub music described in the novel the early roots of Dubstep music. Thereby State of Bass main inpiration can be traced in Cyberpunk culture, Industrial and Post Digital Glitch music, aswell as in Luigi Russolo's manifesto "The Art of Noises", the intent of the project is to create music without any melody, a strongly dark edged music composed in main part by noises, glitches, rumors and fragments of sound. His musical growth, past across from different genres like hiphop, heavymetal, techno and electro, led him to drum and bass in 2000. Only few years after, he threw himself into music production, both developing his own style and deriving inspiration from such big names as Roni Size, Goldie and so on. Up to 2008, with Modulate Recordings's first release together with ARPXP, one of the most important italian producers and with him, in 2008, and from a collaboration with another big sardinian producer, Maver, "the Orchid" sees the light, soon being part of the fourth Italian Bassline compilation.
