"We were doing a workshop with some young people, I watched as they practiced their pieces individually concentrating hard on what they were doing, trying to get it right. Then the magic moment came, they all played their own instruments at the same time, together as a unit, as one. They all looked at each other as if to say "Wow look what we are producing!" Within 1 hour they were no longer a group of young people they were a band in harmony together. You cant put a price on the feeling that gives you. When a baby realises it can walk and takes those first steps they look so surprised, it reminded me of that, amazing".

"Its great to see how the audience reacts when they hear the music as many of them have not heard this type of music live around this area. It was very exhilarating to see the crowd bouncing when we played in the Tap & Spile the other week especially when they shouted for more. Brilliant !!!!!!"

Sambalada, Lincolnshire's premiere samba band. Consisting of around 15 band members, the samba sound is a stunning addition to any party, community event or festival. Led by master drummer, Ian Riggall Sambalada have performed for audiences of all sizes from intimate birthday celebrations to thronging festivals and live on ITV. Infectious rhythms and toe tapping beats encourage audiences all ages to get involved with the music.
Be warned, indoors, Sambalada are loud! An eclectic mix of mainly latin percussion instruments driven by the pounding bass of the SuRdos, the other instruments talk across and with each other; the percussive sounds creating call and response amidst a wall of sound.
Sambalada have been winners at the Cleethorpes Carnival and in addition to static performances, can perform as a marching band.
Having a themed party? No problem, Sambalda have a range or performance options and are open to new ideas. Previously having performed as star wars characters and the UK's first ever zombie samba band!
