Grimuack is a band from Alicante (Spain) and was formed in 1994 by Baphomet (vocals), V. Beherit (guitar) and Monsatan (drums).
In 1995 they recorded their first demo tape entitled “I.N.D.N.S.L.E”, which was incredibly successful as much in Spain as abroad.
A year later, in 1.996, two new warlike members joined the band. They were V. Noise (guitar) and W. Grave (bass). After these new incorporations, a new demo was recorded under the title of “MALEFICARUM”.
At the beginning of 1997, V. Noise quit the band due to different music opinion which did not get on well with the philosophy of the rest of the band.
In 1.998, J. Sabbath was recruited to replace V. Noise on guitar. Then, the band consisted of Baphomet (vocals) , V. Beherit (guitar/vocals), J. Sabbath (guitar), W. Grave (bass) and Monsatan (drums). Shortly after, Grimuack entered the recording studio to record what would be their debut album, “A.G.L.A.” For certain reasons “A.G.L.A” wasn’t edited until the year 2.000 by Out Rage Productions. By then, J. Sabbath and W. Grave had already left the band. This fact made Grimuack have to reject all the concerts planned. After that, Grimuack had to look for two new musicians. Then, they found Sucor Benoth, who became the new guitarrist, but the lack of appropiate applicants for the post of bass player made Baphomet play the bass himself, apart from singing.
Unfortunately, in 2003 Baphomet had serious problems in his throat wich obliged him to give up singing in the very moment that the band had agreed to record a new work. Grimuack postponed the recording process until they found a new vocalist. However, at the end, Baphomet, despite his problems in his throat, recorded the vocals for Grimuacks second cd entitled “GOETICA SUMMA”.
In 2006 the band signed with the North American label Blackened Moon that realises the new album "GOETICA SUMMA" and so begins a new chapter for Grimuack.
BIOGRAFÍA
Banda nacida en Alicante en el año 1994 y formada por: Baphomet (voz), V. Beherit (guitarra/voz) y Monsatan (batería).
En el año 1995 graban su primera demo titulada “I.N.D.N.S.L.E.”, teniendo un buen resultado tanto dentro como fuera de España.
Un año después, en 1996, entran a formar parte de la banda dos nuevos guerreros: V. Noise a la guitarra y W. Grave al bajo. Con estas nuevas incorporaciones es grabada una nueva demo, “MALEFICARUM”.
A principios de 1997 V. Noise deja la banda por diferencias musicales, además de no comprender la filosofía del resto de la banda.
En 1998, y sustituyendo a V. Noise, entra J. Sabbath y al poco tiempo Grimuack entra en estudio para grabar lo que fue su CD debut “A.G.L.A.” con la siguiente formación: Baphomet (voz), V. Beherit (guitarra/voz), J. Sabbath (guitarra), W. Grave (bajo) y Monsatan (batería). Debido a diversos problemas “A.G.L.A.” no fue editado hasta el año 2000 por Out Rage Prod., ya sin J. Sabbath y W. Grave, los cuales deciden abandonar la banda. Debido a estas bajas Grimuack se ve obligado a rechazar todos los conciertos que tenia previstos. Tras buscar durante algún tiempo a dos nuevos miembros que ocuparan los puestos vacantes entró como nuevo guitarrista Sucor Benoth y con la ausencia de candidatos aptos para el puesto de bajista se empieza a encargar del bajo y la voz Baphomet.
Desgraciadamente en 2003 Baphomet empieza a tener problemas en su garganta y se ve obligado a dejar de cantar justo en el momento en que la banda tenia previsto entrar de nuevo en estudio para grabar su segundo CD por lo que Grimuack aplaza la grabación hasta encontrar un nuevo vocalista. Tras pensar en algunos posibles candidatos la banda decide no esperar más y finalmente entra nuevamente en estudio y graba su segundo CD “GOETICA SUMMA” encargándose de las voces Baphomet, a pesar de sus problemas de garganta, y V. Beherit.
En 2006 la banda firma por el sello norteamericano Blackened Moon que se encarga de editar el nuevo álbum “GOETICA SUMMA” comenzando así una nueva etapa para Grimuack.
