About me: Politically, I am a socialist. It isn't right that 10% of the people own 90% of the wealth. Not only do they own the wealth, but they own our destiny. We will never be truly free until we break free from this small percentage that controls everything. Unfortunately, to survive in this country, people must make their jobs their top priority. We would all be happier, and the world would be better if we could take control away from this small percent of capitalist. They control everything from the information that is presented in the media, to the things that we are taught in school. Luckily, there are some of us who have rejected these teachings, and learned to think on our own. There needs to be more. Unfortunately, most people in this country are willing to be led, as long as they have material comforts and modern conveniences. Too many people ignore the suffering that goes on in other parts of the world.
All the workers have to unite in solidarity, in order to show this small percentage of capitalist that we are the ones who run things, and without us they wouldn't have their wealth.
Who I'd like to meet: Hugo Chavez, Howard Zinn, Noam Chomsky. I would like to meet Nancy Pelosi and Charles Rangel so that I could tell them that "Hugo Chavez is not a thug, but that he is a better leader than they will ever be."
I did meet Hubert Humphrey when I was a boy.
