We start organizing experimental music events in Edinburgh since 2007. Experimental, Free improvisation, Noise, Electro-acoustic, Avant-garde and like**. Sometimes, We use format more as gigs, shows, acting as promoters, for artists musician to present their creation. Meanwhile, GSOE do organize events less predefined, to create a active improvisation, experimental atmosphere.

Hope you're well and enjoying the bi-polar weather.
We're playing a cheap and early show this coming Wednesday at the *ahem* intimate Sneaky Pete's with some other folk...
Should be a blast - we've new tricks, new noises and we'll be filming it for part of a video project... "Revel in the digital glitches and distorted blast beats......this will melt your face." - The Skinny
Sneaky Pete's Wednesday 22nd July Doors 7pm - £2
Would be awesom-o to see you there :)
We're on first, before these people:
www.myspace.com/damagedelectronics Stupidly entertaining live gabbertechnobreaksampledrivennoise making their live return after 18 months of Dr Who meditation.
www.myspace.com/deadonthelivewire Surprisingly feral noise duo, think Sonic Youth-esque atonal vocals, Nine Inch Nails guitar crunch and industrial clatter to deafening effect
Noises Like Ashes SINGLE RELEASE THIS FRIDAY @ Confusion is Sex - 11pm The Bongo Club
"Like a cracked toy from the 80’s being played to death with a hybrid of Ian Curtis & Mark E Smith fronting . . ." - Subba-Cultcha
CONFUSION IS SEX
Where fantasy becomes reality, Confusion Is Sex invites freaks, weirdos, princesses, kings, slaves... CiS is an environment rather than just a music night. It's like walking into a David Lynch set where the weird is normal, giving people the chance to be something they're not.

The final Stet Lab before the summer break takes place this coming Monday (June 8th 2009), upstairs @ The Roundy. Details at: www.busterandfriends.com/stet/diary..
The event will feature Juniper Hill, Han-earl Park, Síofra Fitzgerald, Kevin Terry, Veronica Tadman, Piaras Hoban and others.
Come along and make the Stet Lab 2008/9 season go out with a bang, fizz, clang, buzz, bloop and bleep!
Svarte Greiner (Deaf Center/Miasmah/Type) explores deep into a dark,
mysterious and disturbing universe. Drawing inspiration from artists
such as Earth, Volcano the Bear, David Darling & Deathprod, the
music is draped in Lynchian mysticism and horror film cinematics. "The
music of Svarte Greiner is practically perfect. It's like that sound in
our heads we've been imagining for ages but had never actually heard."
- Type Records.
The Sight Below (Rafael Anton Irisarri/Miasmah/Immune) draws as much on
modern genre progenitors like Brian Eno, Robin Guthrie and My Bloody
Valentine as it does from the more historic traditions in
neo-classicism from Erik Satie and Olivier Messiaen. His album Glider
has appeared on Thom Yorke's radar in making the Radiohead's lynchpin's
top ten playlist.
His debut album Navigare soon to feature on the Miasmah label, Simon
Scott (former Slowdive) is set to be a household name in conceptual
music. Simon is the former Slowdive drummer, co-producer of Televise,
producer of Seavault, and owner of KESH Recordings label.
Machinefabriek is amongst the finest experimental/electronic artists of today. His ultra-prolific back catalogue showcases his ability to perfect classical ambience, organic drone soundscapes, electronic minimalism and cathartic noise. He is hailed as one of the most interesting new experimental musicians by the Wire magazine.
Xela is the shady, underworld atmospheres and improv horrors of John Twells, owner of Type Records. "Xela has always been able to pre-empt the shifting tides of electronic music and deliver a statement that's definitively of its time” (Boomkat).
