Back in 1988 I was just a 13 year old boy with a skateboard, some markers and spraycans, who was also well known for recording mixtapes with music from the daily tv- and radioprogramms, putting a little taperecorder with a built in microphone against the speakers of the tv or any radio to record new music everyday for years, before he could afford cables and/or better tapedecks with built in radio.
As a child Grizu was singing in church and school choir, and had to learn playing the piano, but somehow everything changed to playing bassguitar and rapping in the early 1990ies, when I also made music in various bands from Jazz to Psychobilly to Punk and Metal.
After dropping my first own lyrics, I soon had the status of a wellknown freestyle MC over here in Germany, who has not only won some of the biggest freestyle battles, but also shows up at poetry slams from time to time. Also hosting events and being the showmaster on stage is a known side of the artists known as Grizu.
In 1997 I started deejaying and organizing events and clubnights. Since 2002 I'm also the head of BOOGIEBLAST.net a worldwide network for booking, promotion and support.
It's 2009 now and Grizu is still rappin' and deejaying and working on various projects. Today I don't care about musicgenres or categories anymore. Limitation sucks!
Since I'm deejaying a lot of Skateboard- and Snowboardevents like contests and video preview parties besides my normal club-bookings the last few years, I'm mostly playing and remixing a wide selection of Clubmusic. Currently it's a lot of NuRave/Elektroclash, BaltimoreBreaks, Bassline Sounds from the UK (Grime/Dubstep/Garage), but I can also surprise by playing Mashups/Bastardpop Bootlegs, 80ies/90ies/Trash, and some classic HipHop hits from the good old days. It's allways about separating myself from the other DJs and interacting with the crowd to give partypeople a good time!
When I'm not doing music I can be found skateboarding, snowboarding, filming or taking pictures somewhere.

Jo werde ich mal reinhören ;-)... Ich weiß glaub ich schon auf welcher Veranstaltung du gewesen bist. Hat mit meiner Einer aber nix zu tun. Ich leg mit meiner Freundin wie gesagt im Mo-Club (vom Eingang aus rechts/kleiner Raum) ne Mischung aus Noise/IDM/Breakcore und Dubstep auf. Dann haben wir auch noch meist Goa im Lager. Nur bei uns auf dem mainfloor gibt es eigentlich so schwarze Szene Zeugs. Deswegen wäre ein Dubstep Special auch durchaus denkbar. Man müsste dann ebend nur diese Leute in Marburg auch erreichen. Das wäre wohl die schwierigste Sache
Also das stimmt nur zum Teil. Leider wird unsere Party bloß mit ner Gruft Veranstaltung gleichgesetzt (was ich sehr schade finde). Meistens findet man Sachen wie Scuba, Vex'd, distance und Konsorten bei mir nur in den ersten 1,5 Stunden. Ich mix das meist mit IDM und Breakcore Sachen was sich ja auch ziemlich gut anbietet. Was die Anlage angeht so reicht uns unsere gemietete Anlage mit 4,5kW locker für den Mo-Club. Da ich gesehen habe, dass du auch Thomas (nachtalb) kennst, kannst du den gern mal fragen. Ich würde net prahlen, wenn wir definitiv sagen, dass unser Bass sehr dick ist. Kann mich da noch an "Angels" von Vex'd erinnern bei dem alles stark gebebt hat. Magst du denn auch die noisigeren Dubstep Nummern vom ad noiseam Label? Bin da großer Fan von. Gerade Ebola oder Broken Note haben mir auf dem Ad Noiseam May Day in berlin sehr gut gefallen. Wenn ich deine DJ Lünste einschätzen kann, dann könnte man vielleicht auch ein Dubstep Special einrichten ;-)
