Sounds Like
A totally original and unique vocal style unto himself. Sham Pain has many musical greats he looks upto in many different genres but has managed to create his own distinctive musical sound and vocal style which he uses as his blueprint. Growing up in the UK to Nigerian parents and spending about 10 years in the USA has really carved him musically and vocally and he can truly say he has... "the best of three worlds", that being Nigeria (Africa), UK and USA

Femi Olu aka Sham Pain is the true definition of Swagg & a hard hitting
hustler. The buzz surrounding the album "Recession Proof" and the first
single "African Butt" has catapulted this artist into the Hip Hop and R&B
world.
What do you call a man with too much Swagg and a tight Fortune 500
business acumen? We call this man... Sham Pain!
CEO/ Rapper/ Singer/ Song Writer/ Producer Femi Olu aka Sham Pain is the
true definition of Swagg and a hard hitting hustler. Writing, performing
and producing all of the songs on the album "Recession Proof" created a
mass buzz surrounding this album and the first single "African Butt" has
catapulted this artist into the Hip Hop and R&B world. Able to Rap and
Sing equally as good is a great asset to have.
Sham Pain hits the streets with a HOT CD filled up with 12 tracks which
encompasses a plethora of topics and guaranteed club bangers mixed with
clever punch lines and real life situations. Still unbelievably an
unsigned artist, he has managed to set up his own Record Label - gRock
Records, Film Company - gRock Films, Publishing Company - Sham Pizzall
Music (ASCAP) and Music Production company - Beat U Up Ent.
The album "Recession Proof" was recorded in Brooklyn, NY and Nassau,
Bahamas and Sham Pain executes the East Coast swagger and Southern
Hospitality treatment on every track successfully.
Born and raised in London (UK), he left the UK in 1999 and parted for
Dallas (USA) where he says it was a big culture shock but showed him how
to do many new things with a smile on his face.
Moving consistently between Dallas and Atlanta since 1999 has really
shaped this hot independent unsigned artist. The Southern influence is
apparent and very raw with a twist, that twist being he was born and bred
in the UK but sounds like he is from the deep South. He said ".. the
Southern swagger has really rubbed off on me in a natural and good way,
this mixed with my UK & Nigerian/African roots I just can't lose... I have
an accent unto myself"
Every track on the album is a standout track and was written from the
perspective it had to stand up by itself as a single release. All of the
12 tracks on the album are Club and Radio hits and fans will be spoilt for
choice as too which ones they prefer.
Ladies will surely be drawn to Sham Pain especially after hearing the
track "She Got Skillz & African Butt" where he acknowledges and proudly
states what a woman should be and can be. "Naija Hustle" is a track where
you will hear Sham Pain speak in English and Yoruba. This track will put
Nigeria on the map and start a new dance craze the, NAIJA HUSTLE!
"WHO B Dat" addresses other well known artists who have copied Sham Pain's
style and lyrics and have not credited him with the original idea. He says
all proof has been documented with ASCAP publishing as to when he wrote
the tracks as to when they were released and it is apparent these other
tracks by these artists are direct copies and came out after hearing his
versions.
The track "Good Pussy" was added to the album as a bonus track as it has
got so much attention from DJ's and Club Goers alike. When this track hits
the club, people go WILD!
As a singer/songwriter/producer it is evident that Sham Pain will break
new grounds. Sham Pain went all out on this album speaking a lot of truths
on very different topics. After hearing the album it will surprise many
how diverse Sham Pain's lyrical content and acute delivery is, he is on
point on every track. Not afraid to touch sensitive matters many have
steered away from or felt uneasy to display that much "heart" on a track,
Sham Pain digs deep inside himself and spits out fire!
Sham Pain added "... It is clear my accent has "slightly" changed living
in the USA for so long, but still having my English accent also mixed with
Nigerian accent all tightly blends together to give me my own signature
vocal sound."
Sham Pain has big plans for his music career and even bigger plans for
gRock Records, he is running fast so you better run with him or get out of
his way. He has been through a lot of bad times and has still managed to
always come out on top much to the dismay of an arrogant and ignorant
system that surrounds him and this is why he is and will remain successful
in whatever he chooses to do.
