About me:
sickening quote of this first week of Red October"Steve Spinola, president of the Real Estate Board of New York, said he expects prices to remain flat. He also said that many Wall Street employees who were laid off will be hired by new boutique investment banks that might be formed by executives from the former investment houses, and plenty of talent will be needed to implement the $700 billion bailout plan."______________________________________________________________ quote of the week second week of Red October "One thing for sure: the American public is about to undergo a severe mood adjustment" James Howard Kunstler_____________________________________________________________ quote of the week third week of Red October new disheartening economic data By JEANNINE AVERSA, AP Economics Writer The economy lurched deeper into the doldrums Wednesday and took the stock market down with it, sending the Dow Jones industrials to a staggering 733-point loss and erasing any hopes that the convulsions that have shaken Wall Street for a month were over.____________________________________________________ quote of the week fourth week of Red October by Bill Bonner After a big boom, you get a big bust. That’s what we are seeing now. And there is no evidence anywhere in the historical record that the financial authorities can stop it. They can hold it off – for a while. They can distort it. They can possibly divert it. They can make it worse. But there is no evidence that they can make it better. Losses are losses. Mistakes are mistakes. They don’t go away when government throws money at them. They can be moved around...shifted from the people who deserve them to, say, the innocent householder.___________________________________________quote of the week, fifth of RED OCTOBER, by Bill Bonner;*** We come to Argentina partly to check on our cabbages...and partly to get a look at the future. Bankruptcy. Default. Hyper-inflation. As our dear reader commented earlier in the week, the average Argentine cab driver knows more about financial crises than the heads of the U.S. Federal Reserve and Treasury Department combined__________________________________________________Back to great quotes"President Obama is under the impression that history owes him $1 trillion right now to spend on whatever he wants. His language is strident and full of irritation that anyone would question his right to live out his personal dream of being Franklin Roosevelt to George Bush’s Hoover. This, he says, is what the election was all about. The arrogance reminds me of George Bush after 9-11, who similarly believed that history owed him a gargantuan war in the tradition of FDR. And look how that arrogance led to disgrace and loss, as he unwittingly presided over the destruction of American prosperity while searching for bugbears abroad. It just goes to show you that the presidency is something like a drug. It makes people lose all connection to reality. Part of the reality that Obama needs to recognize is that the New Deal was a calamity far worse than the initial market downturn that began it. He needs to stop basing his policies on dumbed-down civics texts versions of events and consider the economic logic." In the spirit of gifting I also will give the following items, in small amounts, to people who ask nicely:"Happy Tea", "Black Drink", Loquat seeds, Pawpaw seeds, Persimmon seeds(more to come later)--- I would also enjoy receiving some gifts if the spirit strikes anyone. Minimum Security: 2008-11-04

http://comics.com/minimum_security/2008-11-04/

Minimum ideal weight is different than ideal weight. Minimum ideal weight is the weight you were when you reached your full height(if you were "skinny") plus whatever muscle mass you've gained. Ideal weight is that plus enough body fat to see you through a serious illness, like roto-virus or a bad flu, about 15 pounds. My supplement regimen is in flux but is vit C 500mg 2d(twice daily) multi-mineral with about 50% of cal/mag 1d(once daily) grapeseed extract or milk thistle seed extract, food base multi vit 1d(shacklee, new chapter or rainbow light)4 to 8 big honkin fish oil caps spread to 4 doses per day, 3, 400 iu vit D3 caps spread to 3 doses per day. All the most colorful foods you can think of including frozen wild blueberries, red beetroot powder and spirulina powder, mixed in a smoothie nearly every day. Sweet potatoes rock! . So does broccoli and garlic! Catsup is so a vegetable. The freshest possible vegies, fruit, nuts, herbs and shrooms you can find (which is wild harvested if possible). Meat grown by someone you've met and trust. GRASS FED dairy products and beef. Grass fed is higher in CLA which is a fatty acid shown to prevent cancer. Fatty acid balance should be at the very least 1 part Omega 3 for 3 parts Omega 6. With me it's 1 to 1. I get mine from chia seeds and flax seeds which I grind fresh in the coffee grinder. I also eat sardines and salmon(wild only). Hemp seed is O.K., too, if you have a source that's not rancid. Avoid all other vegetable oils other than cold pressed, extra virgin, organically grown olive oil AND DON'T OVERHEAT IT IF YOU COOK WITH IT!. And for cooking use palm oil or coconut oil because it resists turning into transfats. Walnut, almond and apricot kernel oils are good too, but expensive as all get out and make sure they are fresh. After the collapse, I will use hickory nut oil, wild hog fat and maybe beaver fat. I forgot to mention that I have had pre-arthritis for over thirty years plus I have severe seasonal allergies. The hay fever I have about 85% percent under control using diet (selective grain and nut consumption), Mimosa tree bark decoction and grape seed extract. I find raw pineapple to be beneficial for all inflammatory symptoms. A hand full of blue vervain leaves chewed slowly and swallowed is one of the best decongestants ever. I have not taken an OTC drug in a few years. I also stared taking a CoQ10 cap in the middle of the night with my grapeseed , 400iu vit E, milk thistle seed extract combination
Who I'd like to meet:
Some one to teach me star navigation and how to build an Umiak and a Crab Claw sail with nothing but primitive implements. People "gone native" and other Reverts. also, Leroy Jenkins,!

U r pretty close, but off by about -5 years. That was my babyface pic. It was taken by a brother-in-law who was studying to be a photographer, but died far before his time, in a freak accident. I think I was about 15 when that pic was taken. And it one of very few anyone has of me cuz I'm not fond of getting in front of a camera. It took my brother-in-law great effort to get me to pose for it. Your pretty good at guessing when it was taken though. I was surprised u were so close.

Sounds awesome! I am going to try my damnedest to be there. The bday party was a lot of fun. I was surprised to see as many people there as I did. It was like all of Columbia came to Florence.
