GrooveLand is a cover band that plays mostly soul, funk and rock n' roll classics. Having said that, James Brown, Aretha Franklin, Wilson Pickett, Etta James and Stevie Wonder are just a few names we cover. But since Soul music is an influence that can be found in many others categories, from Rhythm n'Blues to Motown, Disco Funk to Swing, we feel that The Rolling Stones, Marvin Gaye, Al Green, The Doors, Ray Charles, Elvis Presley, Kool and the Gang, Bee Gees, Nina Simone or even the Beatles needed to be on our set list. The super glue we use to pay tribute to all these great artists is, of course, the Blues. Without the Blues, the many genres that we know, Jazz, Rock, Pop, Country, Bluegrass, Folk and even Metal wouldn't exist as we know today. So GrooveLand is the the cover band for those who want a night to reminisce, a night to dance, a night to party, a night to groove. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------GrooveLand é uma banda de covers que toca essencialmente clássicos do soul, funk e rock n' roll. Mas como a música Soul é uma influência que pode ser encontrada em muitos géneros, do Rhythm n'Blues à Motown, Disco Funk ao Swing, nós sentimos que os The Rolling Stones, Marvin Gaye, Al Green, The Doors, Ray Charles, Elvis Presley, Kool and the Gang, Bee Gees, Nina Simone, ou mesmo os The Beatles, entre muitos outros deveriam estar no nosso repertório. A super cola que utilizamos para prestar tributo à todos estes grandes artistas é com certeza o Blues. Sem o Blues, muitos dos estilos como o Jazz, Rock, Pop, Country, Bluegrass, Folk e mesmo o Heavy Metal não seriam como conheçemos. Por isso GrooveLand é a banda de covers para aqueles que querem uma noite para recordar, uma noite para dançar, uma noite para festejar, uma noite para "groovar".
