I perform solo or with my band the Long Weekends, who include Jesse Dee (electric guitar), Moses Gregg (bass), Pascal Lecours (drums), Ian Stults (drums) and the ever-lovin' Hotplates, Jacqueline Boisvert, Megan Kemshead and Lynett McKell on shoo-wops and doobie-doo-wop shoo-wahs.
On Taiwan, I play with the Anglers, which is an ever-changing cast of characters including the other songwriter in the band Tyler Dakin (guitar, vocals), and ruffians like Roger Smith (bass), Jubba Van Wyk (drums), and Andy Francis (trombone).
Past members, part-timers and interlopers include Crees Thomson (hand drums, vocals), Darryl Els (bass), Duncan "L to the double L-well" Shelwell (drums), Paddy Byrne, Kevin Lee & Paul Head (the saxesfaction), Pierre Lesage (drums), Pascal Lecours (drums), Adam Goring (drums), Ikeda Kinya (bass), Joe Splane (guitar) and a few other unsavory lads.

Scott Cook sings honest, thoughtful acoustic roots music with a barefoot feel--true stories, sung to the accompaniment of guitar, banjo, ukulele and harmonica, or backed by his capable shipmates, The Long Weekends. His self-published 2007 solo debut, Long Way to Wander, made the folk/roots top ten nationwide on campus & community radio, and kept him on the road for the better part of two years, living in his van, playing constantly, picking up stories and passing them on. His newest "love letter to the world" is a fitting follow-up, and his best work to date. Entitled This One's on the House, it's a collection of road stories, existential ramblings, and musings on love, loss, and the courage to love again.
“Basically, this is exactly the kind of act you'd be happy to stumble down the hill or through the birches and hear at a music festival... warm like a campfire, familiar like the lake down the road... deep-thinking, introspective stuff" -Fish Griwkowsky, The Edmonton Sun
"His music has the ability to transport one instantly to a space of campfire-lit, creek-dipping radiance... This album is perennially serendipitous – like one is chancing upon a well-traveled old soul by the fireside, whose stripping-away-the-veneer knowledge of the world is never jaded, but always innocent." -Monica Chattaway, CKUA Radio

I loved your carving stone song! It's brilliant! I love the re-occuring "it's kind of like...." that's in it. The best one is the stripper line...clever man. I've been listening to it all day! I have to grab your CD next time I see you
I picked up Great Northern Revival. Great work Scott. I had a similar idea earlier on in the summer. Looks like I don't need to worry about it now though, you've got things under control as usual.
