GROOVE STATION, founded early 2008, is a Beljam based turntable collective consisting of three enthousiastic soundboys from the Westside: BRAMMA, FIREMAN & RUBINHO. We try to play a balanced mix of reggae and dancehall, ranging from the early Jamaican grooves over vintage and new roots to the more digital part of reggae music – from sleng teng to the latest dancehall productions. While MC Fireman works the crowd, Rubinho uses his selecting skills and Bramma mixes everything seamlessly together. When Groove Station touch down inna your area, 100% satisfaction guaranteed! Yet a "young" sound, all Groove Station members already have several years in the reggae bizz under their belts. We played on many festivals and parties in different clubs all over the country and abroad, alongside many local and international sounds – such as Civalizee, Guiding Star, Topaz, Irie Crew & Herbalize It... – and live artists – like Prince Jazzbo, Horace Andy, Turbulence, Lutan Fyah, Omar Perry & MessenJah... As founding members of Skylarkin' Sound, BRAMMA and RUBINHO performed twice on Reggae Geel (2004 & 2005) and even juggled on Summerjam in Cologne, Germany (2005). FIREMAN is the originator of the former Crossfire Crew and enforced Skylarkin' after Bramsun's withdrawal in 2006. Late 2007 Skylarkin' sound was no longer due to some disagreements with the mc. Ultimately the love and passion for reggae music conquered. Early 2008 Fireman and Rubinho decided to join forces with Bramma. Our goal: mashing up every dance and please every crowd on our way. Living in different places of the country, we proceed organising parties all over Beljam, from upcoming bashments at JH Reflex in K-town to the famous JAMROCK & RastaRumba parties at club Rumba&co in Leuven.

De uitvinder van het singjaying staat intussen dertig jaar op de planken én nog steeds garant voor een one love positive vibes reggaeshow.
