A banda GROSSERIA surgiu em Porto Alegre em 1995. Foi fundada por Leandro Padraxx membro da antológica banda Atraque, precursora do movimento punk/hardcore gaúcho dos anos 80, que encerrou atividades em 1994, dando início a montagem do projeto GROSSERIA, que teve início no ano seguinte. Desde então, são 14 anos de estrada fazendo rock com melodias fortes, guitarras distorcidas, afinações baixas e timbres pesados. Além destes, somam-se bateria e baixo, técnicos e eficientes, e vocais rasgados. Estes são elementos para a música enérgica, insana e marcante da GROSSERIA. A maioria das composições são feitas em português, contrariando a maioria dos trabalhos da mesma linha produzidos no Brasil. Além disso, têm sempre um tom forte de protesto, convidado o público a refletir e questionar os diversos aspectos do cotidiano. Músicas com nomes sugestivos como Degradação, Cabeça Ruim, Demente, Alvos Fáceis, Carro Bomba, Cobaia, Sem Controle ou Restos de Nada, demonstram as intenções do trabalho, declaradamente de protesto. Produzindo um “crossover”, a banda trabalha com uma mescla de vários estilos do rock pesado. Entram na mistura influencias de hardcore, punkrock, heavy metal, trash metal, doom metal e metalcore. Além disso, busca inspirações do hip-hop ao punkrock. A mescla destes elementos confere identidade e originalidade ao seu rock pesado, de estilo próprio. A banda é formada por Leandro Padraxx, vocal; Guga Prado (ex-Panic e Dyacuza), guitarra; Daniel Lobato, bateria; Gustavo Stuep (ex-Distraugth e Dyacuza, Sacrário) no baixo. Desde o início do ano vem trabalhando na elaboração do CD, que está sendo lançado no mês de agosto de 2008. A GROSSERIA tem mostrado este trabalho em shows importantes como GIG ROCK e dividido a palco com bandas como Mukeka Di Rato, Matanza e com a consagrada banda californiana Suicidal Tendencies. O CD tem a produção de Leandro Padraxx, com a mixagen e master no estúdio Da Tribo (SP) por Ciero (produtor de cds da Krisiun, Endrah, Subtera entre muitos outros), o disco receberá o nome de “Sem Controle”, homônimo uma das faixas do disco, que incluirá músicas das diversas fases da banda, desde o seu início no underground de Porto Alegre, há mais de uma década. Também em fase finalização, o vídeo clipe de “Sem Controle”, produzido por Henry Saltz.

The GROSSERIA (Crudery) band emerged in Porto Alegre in 1995. Was founded by Leandro Padraxx and Claudio Calcanhotto, members of anthological band ATRAQUE, movement forerunner’s of punk/ hardcore from Porto Alegre on the 80’s. Calcanhotto, also played drums in Panic, one of the main metal trash in Brazil.. Since then, is 14 years on the road creating rock with strong melodies, distorted guitars, low refinements and heavy casualties. In addition to this should be added drum and bass, technical and efficient, and voice laniatus. These are elements for the energetic music, insane and striking from GROSSERIA. All compositions are made in Portuguese, contrary to the most of work the bands of same style produced in Brazil. Also, always a strong tone of protest, invited the audience to reflect and questioning the various aspects of daily life. Music with suggestive names such as ‘Degradação’ (Degradation), ‘Cabeça Ruim’ (Bad Head), ‘Demente’ (Crazy), ‘Alvos Fáceis’ (Easy Targets), ‘Carro Bomba’ (Bomb Car) or ‘Sem Controle’ (Without Control), demonstrate the intentions of this work, reportedly of protest. Producing a crossover sound, the band works with a blend of several styles of heavy rock. Enter into this mix: hardcore, punk-metal, trashcore, doom metal and metalcore. Moreover, seeks inspiration from hip-hop to punk rock. The blend of these elements confers identity and originality to his rock heavy, of unique style. The group is formed by Leandro Padraxx on voice; Guga Prado (ex Panic and Dyacuza) on guitar; Daniel Lobato (ex Panic) on drums; Gustavo Stuep (ex Distraugth and Dyacuza) on bass. Since the beginning of this year have been working in the drafting of their own CD, which will be released on next august three of 2008, with an open act show of Suicidal Tendencies in Porto Alegre City. The album, produced by Leandro Padraxx, mix and masters by Ciero (Da Tribo Studios) will receive the name of ‘Sem Controle’ (Without Control), which includes songs from diferents seasons of the band, since this beggining on Porto Alegre’s underground, more than a decade ago.
